"I knew this would happen" The Dean told us after giving a forced sighed like he was exhausted. Certainly not how I planned my Greek lesson to be going; in the Dean's office being scolded with the Apollyon I had just made out with. Not that the Dean knew that obviously, the Apollyon had some sort of super hearing and basically pushed me back to a distant where it looked like I had just bumped into him not like he had just inserted his tongue down my throat and well here we are now.                                                                                                                                                                               "Excuse me sir but why am I here?" I managed to chirp in after sitting there in silence for about ten minutes listening to The Dean just rant on at me. I was just a ball of pure nerves right now, you could tell because my fingers were knotting themselves together so I just didn't bite my nails anxiously but that only caused my entire body to squirm instead so the chair was being to make noises, I hated leather.                                                                                                                                        The Apollyon had stayed clear of me thankfully and was now standing behind me, a good distance away but then again I couldn't see how he was feeling about this situation.                  "Things need to be discuss, unfortunately I wanted to do this later and without you here but that seems not the case anymore been you both have met each other already. You really do seem to fall in harm's way every time, Kalena" The Dean continued, resting his knuckles against his desk, hunching over; he hadn't lost the stupid hat I noticed because this one was so fucking huge and annoying but it also stayed perfectly upon his head as he tipped his head downwards to the floor. Meanwhile, his words aggravated me and more than just a little bit, I didn't mean to follow danger, I just somehow got mixed up in it recently. Trust me I'd love to stay away as far as possible from it and just have a normal life but that wasn't going to happen any time soon and that was partly his fault for bring me into his messed up world in the first place!                            "Are you planning to kill me then?" I asked quietly unable to meet the Dean's gaze but the tensioned silence was broken by a rich laugh. Confusion coursed through me as I realised The Apollyon was laughing? I shot my gaze towards the The Dean's and his own eyes flickered up with a mixture of confusion and anger the Apollyon's and I swear if it was anyone else there, it would've been an argument starter but hierarchy showed that the Apollyon was far greater than the Dean which made me smile a little inside.                                                                                               "Dear child the academy aren't that strict on rules, especially on minor ones like you broke by going down that private pathway" The Apollyon continued to laugh and when I turned to face him, the leather chair making that loud version of embarrassing noises along with it, I saw the Apollyon bent at the waist still in a fit of laughter and I had to admit it was a contagious laugh because I felt it bubble up inside of me childishly but I didn't let it out and tried to keep my composure in front of the Dean because I on the other hand, was on the bottom of the food chain.                                                                                                                                                                                    "Oh my, have I been mistaken all this time and in fact you do not know Apollyon?" The Dean spoke suddenly like he was generally caught off guard and frankly I was just happy he hadn't picked up on the whole 'private pathway' part because I hadn't even known that myself and well I'd get a lovely strike there. Damn Mr. Blue Eyes, I should've expected that he was also bad news.  "Know what?" The Apollyon replied after he finally had stopped laughing, his face was bright pink and the smile with dazzling white teeth was so memorizing I forgot for a split second what was going on around me.                                                                                                                                              "Kalena Leandros is the last half-blood" The Dean stated; now he was the amused one, gaining back the control in the conversation. I heard him pull himself up from the desk and come towards me until I felt of velvet material brush across my shoe, sending disturbing shivers through my entire body and I prayed he would step away but why would the Dean ever help me out.                                                                                                                                                                                               I watched as the Apollyon shot up and stare straight at us; stunned with pure confusion and I could see everything starting to make sense behind those crimson eyes and for a moment I thought he was about to rip off one of those blades around his waist and slit my throat with it but he recovered himself, the poker face now the only thing he let off.                                              "How is this possible?" He asked toneless as he headed towards us with his full attention now. When I turned back round I found the Dean now leaning against the front of his desk which made me jump slightly as I hadn't even known he had moved again but now he was right in front of me.                                                                                                                                                   "Kalena's...Mother took them into the mortal world and brought Kalena up as a mortal. We had been watching her for some time although we were told to take no action as she was deemed not in danger until the night Kalena's Mother showed her true form, a diamon and planned to turn Kalena as well but a god messenger protected her until we arrived and brought her back here" The Dean briefly explained and I was surprised by how accurate he was and I was glad he didn't say about Alexis's death because that was still an slowly healing subject and The Dean still didn't deserve to call Alexis by his name, he was a god messenger and a fucking powerful one at that.                                                                                                                                                                                  "Dean Analis you know diamons cannot—"                                                                                                             "I am fully aware, Apollyon. The best research team are on the case, I assure you. Stephanos keeps me posted weekly" The Dean cut the Apollyon sharply in a solid tone as his shook his head to him. What couldn't diamons do?                                                                                                        "What can't diamons—"                                                                                                                                              "Dean Analis you are aware that I have a name, do you not? So I would be grateful if your perhaps used it. Furthermore, what has become of the diamon then?" The Apollyon cut me off this time which irritated me, by the way they said things you'd believe their manners were impeccable but apparently not and I just felt like I was meant to sit here and listen in silence even though the Dean actually said we'd discuss therefore surely I had a say in things?                 "You needn't worry she is dead. Kalena killed her along with one of her accomplices and we continue to search for the other two" The Dean spoke over my shoulder to him with a steady tone, it made me feel funny like their eyes were having another conversation altogether. A conversation I couldn't know about.                                                                                                                          "Ah that's why I felt like that then..." The Apollyon trailed off staring at the carpet floor in an trance like everything had now gone into the correct and final timeline for him. Me and The Dean watched him waiting for an answer but he didn't give one instead he just said: "Looks like your team are doing a lot of research then but this does not explain why the child can see my guilds" He replied calling me a child again, his palms now on the back of my chair as he leaned over, if he was trying to scare me... it was working, death was literally on my neck.                                              I wanted to run out the room and move countries so he wouldn't be able to get me quickly, giving me chance to move again but I knew I couldn't I had to take the mature option so I crossed my legs over each other and kept my gaze steady on the Dean's hideous clothing to keep my mind distracted a little from how the ends of Apollyon's hair brushed against the crown of my head and how his fingertips pressed slightly into my upper back. I could practically feel the icy warmth radiate off him and onto me.                                                                                                                    "Can she now? How peculiar. That shall be monitored I assure you" The Dean replied almost deep in thought as he began to twist his beard around his index finger, sitting back in his chair. Oh gods, he was such a cliché version of wizard it was mad to watch.                                                           "And I assure you I will be the one monitoring it from now on. The child stays in my protection at all times from now on" The Apollyon replied in a polite tone but I don't think he was feeling very kind right now and I sure as hell knew that wasn't a request but great I had officially got given a 24/7 babysitter who was also the Apollyon.                                                                                                          "Is that wise given what you both are? The gods seem to want to keep her alive for some reason and what about your reason for being here in the first place?" Was the Dean actually trying to keep me alive? I mean granted he said in a douchey way but I was generally surprised. It wasn't enough to pull my heart-strings and make me like him by all means, I don't think I'd ever feel the emotion about him.                                                                                                                                                        "Ah yes about a certain coach and student, doesn't the child have lessons and training like the rest of the pure-bloods?" Coach and student? Could they mean Andy? Why did they need to look into that besides finding the attacker unless... they were linked, had a Coach here been attacked too? I had to tell Calix about this as soon as possible.                                                                                  "Indeed, including one-to-ones afterwards with our sentinel Stephanos but he is not back till this Friday so she is has not had that training since Tuesday"                                                                         "I'll assistant the one-to-one training, there are something I would like to test" The Apollyon spoke above my head, I gulped slightly from the dreaded thought and as I glanced back to The Dean, it was all to clear that he wasn't going to protest to that.                                                                   Yep, I'm in deep shit this time.
