I looked at him walking ahead he pulled the hood of his black hoodie up as it hung on him loosely with a v-neck t-shirt underneath he unzipped his hoody and pulled the sleeves upto his elbow and ruffled his hair I knew he planted a smile on his face as I had on mine. We had reached the main are of the park and I could tell Emmy and Aaron had driven away..
I walked home slowly and Hayden never looked back...
Emmy's POV
Aaron dropped me home with a lasting head and a confused head. I walked into the house and wondered if Hayden was going to come to mine or go to his, I was sure he was going to avoid me well my interrogation. As I walked in was aware of Vince's demonic eyes I knew, he barely knew but hated me and well it was as annoying as hell.
Vince was the broody mystery guy which every girl found intriguing and drawed them in hoping to become a part of [his] world...
Vince was in our year and I wondered how that was possible because Tabby too was in our year, every time I mentioned him Tabby went quiet so that was a topic I knew to avoid my guess was they were actually not brothers and sisters he or she was probably adopted hence the same age...
I walked into my room and slumped onto my bed, I was confused I wanted to know and help my bestfriend, Tabby was now like a sister to me and I needed to help her too and also this secrecy and confusion was making me and Aaron distant because he knew and I didn't.
I closed my eyes and inhaled and exhaled deep breaths after several moments of failed attempts to calm myself I decided it would be better for me to just have a shower. I got up to get underwear from my wardrobe when a glint of silver caught my eyes it was placed on my windowsill; a small silver colored box I walked over to it and picked it up, It might've been from Aaron.
Come to think of it I was sure I closed my windows before I left the house but there it was open letting in a gentle breeze, I decided to open the box and inside lay a pendant in a heart shape it was beautiful I took it out of the box and felt its smooth silver surface I turned it around and it was encrusted with a purple glittering jewel, instantly I knew it was an amethyst; my birthstone. It was beautiful.
I went over to my jewellery box and picked up the fine white gold chain that was gifted to me from my uncle, I thread it through the pendant and then clasped it around my neck, it hung there shimmering.
I knew I had to thank Aaron he was so thoughtful..
I picked up my phone and went to my recent calls it was undoubtedly Aaron and then I pressed the call button, on the 3rd ring he picked up..
"Hello gorgeous miss me already?" I could just imagine the grin on his face.
"Sssh Aaron, you know why im calling stop acting, I just wanted to say thank you its beautiful" I smiled at his thoughtfulness.
"Er princess what are you on about? Are you still reeling from my handsomeness, delusional from my lasting presence?" the smirk was creeping up.
"Aaron I've seen the pendant no need to act Thank You"
"Ok seriously it wasn't me I wouldn't crunch my wallet for you beautiful I'm not that whipped"
"honestly Aaron be serious no need to prove your manliness it's ok if your whipped" I said teasingly.
"Nope not me try Hayden or something mind I should be weary if it isn't him I might have some competition well actually no ones good enough to compete with me" I could sense his amused reaction.
"it's not you?" I questioned, who could it have been?
"Nope, okay gorgeous I have to go business calls"
