My mother always told me i was different but I also thought that I was the essence of simplicity. Never in my small world did I ever think my mother would die but she did, my father was heartbroken, of course how would he survive without his dear Yewande who opened his eyes with her wild ways and different views of the world and her beautiful groundnut paste skin... But he would try for the sake of his daughter Ayomide the only reason why his life still had value...
Ayo was striking, she had black curly hair and gorgeous blue eyes a gift from her father but she looked white but she wasn't she had brown skin. Her father was everything everything to her she never put value into the gowns he got her, the gloves made of silk and the crowns of flowers they made every spring what made her smile was her father, the glow of his skin in the sun his one sided smile.. She loved him but hated the woman that gave him flirty look while send condolences to him.
She could blame them, her father was magnificent he had stunning black hair, a chiseled jaw that looked like it was sculpted by Da Vinci and signature piercing blue eyes. Who could resist?
Unfortunately he had to move on he was only 25 but he vowed he would never forget how Yewande's view of the world changed him he would never forget her.. How could he when Ayomide was the key to remembrance atlas he loved her so that he saw that she needed a female guardian so he sought out the most intelligent and beautiful maiden, courted her and married her.. He would have to sacrifice as he did it for his daughter and true love he would go though the underworld and back for them but he never in his life thought for a second that the blonde damsel beside him would make his daughters life a misery as soon as he died.
And that night Fiona his new wife plotted to kill her husband but there was no need for that as he died after a brief illness, Ayo was heartbroken, what a pitiful child that girl but she had an empire to build now that her stupid husband was out of her way.. Ayo would become a servant since she was to expensive economically to handle and it would be more profitable to send all servants away and use her instead for her personal satisfaction.
Sad to mention, she also had two daughters but they were toddlers so no harm done there, Ayo grew up to cleaning the kitchens by 5 in the morning, cooking all day long,
enduring insults from her steps but never complained until now..........
