Ian's POV

I watched as Nina pouted in her sleep. Even asleep she was absolutely adorable. Her hair was draped over her face slightly while she laid her head against my chest while her arm was wrapped around my waist. I was so lucky to be with someone like her she was really amazing. I still couldn't believe we've been secretly dating for 2 weeks. Nina loved to cuddle which was fine with me. I loved having her in my arms. I looked at the time on the alarm clock and saw it was 3:30a.m. I gently moved her arm from around me and slowly got up out of the bed. She frowned slightly before turning her head in the other direction still fast asleep. I walked into her bathroom and grabbed the mouthwash and a towel preparing to wake myself up. When I was finished I left the bathroom and grabbed my wallet sliding it in my sweatpants pocket. Then I crawled into bed and shook Nina gently. She groaned. "Hmm." "Baby get up." She didn't respond. "Nina?" I called shaking her again. "Hmm?" "Come on let's go." "Hmm go where?" She mumbled. I leant over and kissed her cheek before whispering in her ear. "On an adventure." She turned around and squinted at me. "What?" "Get up beautiful." I said getting out of bed. She sat up in bed rubbing her eyes. "What time is it?" "3:36a.m." "What? Why the hell did you wake me up so early?" She asked glaring at me. I just grinned at her hearing the annoyance in her voice. "Not a morning person huh?" She shook her head. "Nope." "Well that'll change soon enough. So get dress and let us embark on our adventure." She rolled her eyes but I saw a small smile. "This better be worth it Smolder." She said getting out of bed and going into her bathroom. "Oh it will be." I fixed her bed after watching her do it 3 times I knew exactly how she made it up. I grabbed my car keys and slid on my house shoes. Nina emerged from the bathroom her long brunette hair now in a messy bun on top of her head while her bunny pajamas made an appearance. She had on the matching pants set with her fluffy pink bunny slippers with a black tank top shirt. "Is there something special I should wear for this particular adventure?" I shook my head. "Nope you look perfect let's go." I said making my way downstairs and walking to the front door. "Ian?" I looked up to see her leaning against the balcony from upstairs. "Yeah?" "Can I wear your black hoodie?" I nodded. "Go ahead. Wouldn't want my Neens to get cold." She smiled brightly before sliding my hoodie over her body. She made her way downstairs and I grabbed her hand leading her out the door. She locked her front door and we made our way to my blue convertible. I opened the door and held it open until she climbed inside. As soon as we were on the the road Nina looked at me expectantly. "So do you do this often?" "What?" "Ya know the whole being spontaneous thing." I smiled and took her hand in mine. "I like to keep things fresh and fun. A little mystery never hurt anybody. Besides you get to see and experience a lot of
cool things while the rest of the world sleeps." I pulled up at my favorite frozen yogurt place, Frozone. We both got out and went inside. There was only one worker in there and she was an older lady so she probably didn't know who we were. I grabbed the two cups and handed one to Nina. "Get whatever you want it's on me." She smiled before shaking her head. "You don't have to-" I put my finger against her mouth to silence her. "I want to so let me." She looked at me stunned before nodding. We walked to all the different toppings. There was so many. It didn't matter what I got because everything was great. "Um let me get the blueberries and strawberries." She scooped the toppings on the frozen yogurt before asking. "Anything else?" "No that's all for me thank you. Nina?" "Uh can I get the bananas and strawberries with a hint of mint." The lady nodded and put the toppings on her frozen yogurt before I paid and we made our way out. We got back in the car and I drove to a specific park about 15 minutes away from Frozone. When we got out I laid a green blanket I had in the trunk on the ground and laid down, Nina following my lead. I took a bite of my yogurt and smiled. Perfect. I looked over at Nina. "How's the froyo?" She smiled taking another bite. "It's fantastic." I nodded. "Glad you like it because that place is pretty important to me." "Oh yeah? Why's that?" "I've been going there for 3 years because they make the best frozen yogurt I've ever tasted. I don't know what it is about that place, but it's amazing." "How did you discover it?" "Hm? Well I was having a pretty bad day, I had been in traffic for what seemed like years when in actuality it was about 2 hours to meet my then girlfriend. When we finally met up we talked about our future together. And....Well long story short, we ended things because she was ready for something I wasn't so we parted ways. I was devastated when it happened so I went to the bar to get a drink, found out I had left my wallet. So I drove aimlessly around trying to find my way back and I couldn't find it. By the time I did, it was gone. That's when I saw it. Frozone. Well the store was brand new so they were giving out free samples I got one and when I did, it was like I knew things were going to get better in my life. It was strange but after taking one bite of their frozen yogurt I felt like that breakup was supposed to happen. Because I would be better really soon. I just knew I'd find happiness again and when I did I'd take the person that made me happy there because that place is special to me." "What made you take me?" She asked scooting closer to me and taking another bite from her froyo. "Isn't it obvious why I took you Nina? You make me happy. Not to mention there's something about you, that's special to me." "Oh Ian that has to be the sweetest thing anybody's ever told me." She said putting her slightly cold palm against my cheek before leaning over to press her soft lips against mine in a sweet kiss. That's when we heard noises that sounded like gun shots. She pulled away immediately and looked around terrified. I just smirked at her before tilting her head up so she could see the fireworks in the sky. She gasped and her eyes lit up in pure excitement. "Oh wow. It's beautiful. Did you know about this?" I nodded. "This is Nightingale Park at night people light fireworks out here every Tuesday and Saturday to illuminate the skies in color so the park isn't too dark." "That's incredible." She looked at me. "Your incredible." She took my hand in hers intertwining our fingers together. "Thank you for waking me up so early to go on this amazing adventure with you." I smiled at her. "So was it worth it?" She laughed looking around. "Oh yeah this was definitely worth every second of sleep I lost." "So what I'm hearing is... your open to more adventures with me?" She smiled at me. "Anytime and anyplace as long as I'm with you." "I couldn't have said it better myself." I said leaning over to kiss her. This was a beginning to a beautiful relationship.
