Nina's POV

I rolled over and opened my eyes and saw Ian was still sleeping. He looked so peaceful. I didn't wanna wake him. I carefully got out of bed and went into the bathroom. Today I had a photoshoot to get through and I also wanted to stop by one of my best friend's house. I did my morning routine which consisted of brushing my teeth and washing my face, I took a hot shower, I went through my skin care routine before applying my makeup. After I got dressed I walked over to the pen and sticky notepad I leave on my dresser. I wrote my note to Ian then stuck the sticky note beside the bed where'd he surely see it. I grabbed my things headed down stairs then made my way out the door.

Ian's POV

I slowly opened my eyes and looked around to see I was alone in Nina's bedroom. I got up and went to the bathroom brushed my teeth and washed my face. I came out the bathroom fixed the bed and stopped, when a sticky note caught my eye. I picked it up.
Dear: Smoldy I'm sorry I had to leave you but you looked so peaceful I didn't want to wake you... I have a photoshoot and I'm meeting up with a friend... I'll miss you baby, I love you xoxo your Neens❤.
I put the note down and grabbed my stuff then I made my way out the door using the backup key to lock it. When I made my way home I decided to take a shower then see what Paul was up to for today.
After the shower I cleaned up my bathroom and bedroom before grabbing my phone. "Hello?" "Hey, buddy want to hang out today." "Iannn, heyy we haven't hung out in centuries of course I'm down." I chuckled at his dramatics. It's been 3 weeks since we last hung out. "Alright what do you say we get some tacos and some beers." "That sounds like a plan. Shoot me a text when your close and I'll open the door." "You got it man." Ian made his way to his favorite taco stop to get the tacos and cold ice beers. Once he paid for everything he got in his car and made his way to Paul's place. He quickly shot Paul a text when he was around the corner and Paul ran out his door to greet Ian. They bro hugged then made there way inside with the food and drinks. Putting on the football game they both kicked back and dug into their food enjoying the game. They each drank their beers while they shouted at the screen when the team they were rooting for lost. "Damn what a disappointment." Ian said chugging the rest of his beer and eating the last of his tacos. "Your telling me! It was clear as day they didn't have their head in the game." Paul said picking up both of the now empty plates on the table. "Thanks brother." "No problem buddy." Paul and Ian talked about what's been going on with their lives while they finished the pack of beers Ian had bought. They just talked and laughed joking around enjoying each other's company.

Nina POV

My photoshoot went absolutely amazing it was a ton of fun. Now it was time for me to see one of my greatest friends Julianne Hough. I drove to her house and quickly ran to her door knocking on it. Julianne opened the door. "Omg Ninnnnnaa!!!" She pulled me into her house and into a tight hug. "I missed you soooo much! Girl wheeeerrrre haaaavvvvve you been alllll my liiifffe!!!!" We both burst out laughing while she was singing Rihanna's song. After the laughter we began catching up with each other and taking silly selfies, giggling uncontrollably like some school girls. Well until her brother walked in no doubt wondering why his sister was screaming like a banshee. "Deerrrekkk heyy omg look who decided to drop in!!!" Derek turned around and when he saw me he rushed over to give me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Nina hey we've missed you around here. I've missed you a lot." Derek said. "I've missed you guys too that's why I decided to visit." I said. "So you guys wanna watch a movie? I'll make the popcorn." Derek asked. "That sounds great except I'll go make the popcorn and you Der can pick the movie." Julianne said getting up. Derek got up and put in a scary movie for 2 reasons. Reason 1 Nina hated scary movies. Reason 2 Nina would jump into his arms when she got scared and he would put his arms around her to comfort her. Nina was texting on her phone smiling and giggling at something on it. Derek decided to cut off the lights and close the curtains so it appeared dark. The movie started and Julianne walked over with the popcorn and sat beside Nina. She handed her the popcorn since she was in the middle and Derek sat right next to her. "So Der what movie did you choose?" Julianne asked. "Watch and see Juls." Nina finished texting on her phone then put it into her purse. The movie started causing both Julianne and Nina to jump up. "The Conjuring, really Der?" Julianne said. Nina just muttered some curse words about how much she hated scary movies. Halfway into the movie Julianne screamed a couple of times while Nina kept jumping in Derek's arms. While Derek smirked and comforted Nina. When the movie was over Nina and Julianne got up and stretched. Julianne hugged Nina goodbye, when she saw she was packing her stuff. "See ya Julie I'm going to miss you and next time don't let Derek pick the movie." "I'm gonna miss you too Nina and don't worry I won't. Lesson learned I'm gonna beat his ass for scaring us." Nina snickered and hugged her friend tighter. "Don't take so long to visit next time Dobrev." "Promise I won't Hough." They pulled apart. Nina went to hug Derek next. "Bye Derek and thanks for the comfort even though it was your fault. I'll see you guys later." Nina kissed Derek on the cheek and stuck her tongue out at him. She got in her car and got on the road to head to Ian's place. She pulled up at his driveway grabbing her things then locked her car. Knocking on the door she waited patiently. When he didn't answer she knocked a few more times. When he still didn't answer she banged on the door getting worried. Clearly his car was here so he was home. But what the hell was taking so long? The door opens revealing Ian in a black muscle shirt and grey sweats. His hair is a mess and he's squinting his eyes. "Nina?" He asked quietly as he leans against the doorframe. "Uh hey is this a bad time?" He shook his head and gestured for her to come inside. He stretches then rubs his eyes. "Did I wake you?" He yawns then nods. "Just give me a second to fully wake up." Ian made his way into his bathroom to wipe his face and brush his teeth. He ran his fingers through his hair to tame it. When he made his way back into the living room he saw Nina sitting on the couch. "Sooo you hungry?" She looked up at him and smiled. "Starving." He nodded then walked into the kitchen turning on the light. He looks around for a second before taking out a pack of meat from the freezer and a bag of fries then goes into the fridge to pull out some green vegetables. Nina looks on in fascination. It was no secret she couldn't cook too well but was she damn happy she had a boyfriend that could. He put the bag in the sink and the meat in the package into some water. "What ya making there Smolder?" He looked up at her grinning. "How about you come in here and find out. She nodded and eagerly made her way into the kitchen. Sitting on the counter she could see the ingredients better. Asparagus, fries, and steak. Her mouth began to water. "Okay I'm gonna wait until the steak thaw out then I'll cut it up and season it." "Are you gonna put it back in the fridge?" "I would but I don't want it to get too cold so I'll put it into a bowl and set it aside to let the season sit." "Doesn't steak take long to cook?" "Usually yeah because they are thick but for those it doesn't take long which is why I'll start that when I'll start on the fries." "What are you doing with the asparagus?" "Oh I'm gonna steam cook them that doesn't take long either so it'll be last." "How long?" "Uh about 4-5 minutes. After that I'll put them on the plates and drizzle it with olive oil so it's not dry. Then I'll season it with salt and pepper and add just a hint of lemon." 
"Is there anything I can help with?" "Sure I'll show you how to cut up the steak then I'll show you how to cook fries." I nodded excited.

Ian and I had a great time cooking and maneuvering around the kitchen. The food smelled amazing and I learned a new method on cutting meat. Also Ian is a hell of a teacher he was so patient with me and it was just overall a fun experience to have with him.
After we finished cooking we set up the table and ate the home cooked dinner with the red wine Ian poured into our glasses. And everything was absolutely delicious. The steak was so tender the asparagus was packed with so much flavor and the fries tied the whole meal together.

"That was amazing. Thank you." I said taking another long sip of my wine. "Hey you helped too and can I just say your going to be amazing in the kitchen." "Pft yeah right I almost cut my finger off cutting that steak." "Exactly almost when I first got started I'd always cut my fingers." "Your just saying that to make me feel better." He laughed. "No really I didn't just come out the womb being a master chef." I laughed the same time he did. "Alright alright maybe I was better than I thought. But your a good teacher. The amount of patience you had with me? Wow." He shook his head. "I don't see the point at yelling it makes people feel bad and it gets nothing accomplished." He said shrugging. I nodded. "Even so this was amazing. Your the best." He took my hand in his and held my hand across the table. "Baby I just wanna make you happy." "You definitely do. When I'm with you I just feel like a princess." I said giggling. "Not a princess but a Queen." "Right of course. That title will be for our future daughter." I said finishing my glass of wine. "I do love the sound of that." I laughed. "Of course. How about we clean up now?" He nodded and we cleared the table going into the kitchen to clean it together.
When we finished we made our way into Ian's bedroom where he put on the TV. "I kinda don't have any clothes." "I don't mind you can strip naked." I rolled my eyes. "Iann?" He chuckled and got out the bed. "Alright alright I can take a hint." I took off my shirt and jeans and folded them and put them on the dresser. Ian came out of his closet and gave me one of his button down shirts. "Thanks Smolder." He winks climbing back into bed and I join him. He pulls the covers over us and I wrap my arms around him snuggling into his body. "Anything you wanna watch?" "Hmm how about the hot chick?" Ian looked at me playfully. "Tell me your kidding." I shook my head and laughed at his face when he saw I actually wanted to watch it. "Fine whatever you want Neens." He flicked the channel and gave me the remote. Then he kissed my forehead snuggled into me closing his eyes. God I loved this man.
