In Love with my best friend | Rodrick Heffley Love story

Skating Part 1

After school I go to Rodricks van cause he has band practice and I like watching. Plus Greg has a skating thing at the rink and Susan is making Rodrick go and they invited me along. I'm hoping I can skate with him during couples skate.
"Hey Skyler" Rodrick says from the drivers seat.
"Hey" I say and get in.
"So you still coming to the skating thing tonight" he asks backing out of his parking spot.
"Yea hey I wondering if- "then I'm cut of by a car horn.
"What were you going to say " he says
"Nevermind I'll ask later" I say
"Okay..." he says
Time skip to skating thing
We are finally at the skating rink after the 15 minute ride that turned into 30 because of traffic. I decide I'm not gonna ask Rodrick about couples skate. Apperently him and one of his band mates are gonna mess it up anyway so there is no point.
"Your really quiet what's wrong" Rodrick asks
"Nothing...." I say and he looks unconvinced
"Are you sure it's nothing" he asks
"Yes it's just like this morning you wouldn't leave things alone" I yell and walk away
"Where are you going" he says
"Places" I say then walk outside. I walk behind the building and light a smoke. I know I promised not to anymore but I can't help it. I'm getting really pissed off. After smoking it all I go to light another one but hear Susans  voice
"Skyler" she says
"Back here" I say and put the smoke in its pack then put it in my purse that I brought.
"What's wrong Rodrick said you stormed off" she asks
"He just maybe me mad" I say
"What did he do" she asks
"Well I wanted to ask him to skate with me during couples skate while we were in the van and then someone honked there horn and I just told him I would ask him after and when we got home he said that he was gonna play heavy medal music during couples skate and I know there was only gonna be one couples skate because it started at 6:30 and the school only had an hour booked for this" I say
"And I'm upset that we won't be able to skate during couples skate and he asked me what's wrong and I said nothing and he said it doesn't sound like nothing and I told him to just leave it alone then I cake out here and did something I promised Rodrick I would never do" I say then start crying.
"Honey what did you do" she ask
"This" I say then pull out my pack of smokes "I smoke one this morning g at school and he caught me and took my pack and lit it on fire but I have an entire carton at home" I say
"Honey you have to tell him" Susan says
"I know can you text him" I ask
"Sure" she says and pulls our her phone. I put my smokes back in my purse.
