Alyssa's P.O.V

It was currently fall break. I was drving back home after visiting Meg, my childhood besfriend in Australia. I haven't seen her in almost 4 years since I moved back to South Korea. I was 1 year old when my mom and dad decided to live in Australia but when my dad died, we moved back to Korea. I was only 16 at the time and moving countries was a big thing. Fortunately, I could speak Korean as my parents taught me it and it didn't take me long to settle down in my new school. Everything was going well. It was my last year of high school and I would be soon graduating.

"OMO, love this song so much!" I exclaimed in joy.

One of my favourite songs came on the radio; Hellavator by Stray Kids. The chorus came on and I sang along.

'I'm on a Hellevator
My Hellevator
I'm on a Hellevator
My Hellevator
I'm on a Hellevator'

I was jamming to the song when I saw a massive traffic jam ahead of me. I sighed in frustration. I stopped the car and pulled the window down.

"Excuse me? Do you know why there is such a long traffic jam?" I politely asked the driver in the car next to me.

"There was an accident down the highway. Who knows how long it'll be until they get it cleared up" He replied.

"Ah, thank you" I replied with a smile.

My eyes drifted back to the line of cars in front of me. Ugh, guess it'll be a while till I get home. I was stuck at the end of the traffic jam with no signs of moving forward. I would lie if I said I was a patient person. I was waiting for about 15 minutes until I got irritated and decided to find a different route home. I took my phone out and went on Google Maps. There was a dirt road leading through the woods a couple miles back. I would be able to go round the traffic jam and be back on the highway home in no time. I quickly put my phone down and reversed the car.

///////

I was driving through the woods for a good hour and a half now and it seemed like there was no end to this road. It couldn't be; on my phone it said it'll be 45 minutes at the most. Why is there no sign of the highway? The only thing in my sight are trees and more trees. Maybe I took a wrong turn somewhere? Ugh, it would have been nice if my phone charger didn't get broken. Then I would be able to at least charge my phone to check where I was and find a way onto the highway again. I would take being stuck in traffic over this any day. I should have just stayed put on that highway and then I wouldn't be in this situation. But no, I had to be a dumb bitch and go off road and get lost. Just my luck.

*Sound of car braking down*

"What the? For fucks sake! Really?!" I yelled frustrated.

"You've got to be kidding me!"

I hit the steering wheel with both hands. This has got to be the worst day of my life, I swear. Being lost in the middle of nowhere with no way of contacting anyone apparently wasn't enough to satisfy my life. My car had to brake down too!

I got out the car and opened the bonnet to reveal the engine. I don't know why I even did that when I have no mechanical knowledge what so ever so I wouldn't be able to fix whatever the fuck broke down anyway. I just stared at the engine for a few minutes before pulling the bonnet back down letting out a massive sigh.

What do I do now? I'm stranded in the middle of nowhere with no sign of a living being. My phone is dead and I can't charge it because my charger broke; and to top it all off, I've just ate my last granola bar. This is great. Just great.

I've never been in a situation like this so I don't know what to do. Should I stay here and wait for someone to drive by? Or maybe I should just follow the road and see where it gets me? I really don't know. I'm not really keen on the idea of staying here at night. There might not even be anyone on this road for hours or days. For all I know I could be stranded here for some time. I'm not really left with much of a choice. I'll just walk and hopefully I'll find some form of civilisation. I mean, there has to be something on this road right?

///////

I've been walking for quite some time. The sun is beginning to set and it's getting colder by the minute. Now I wish I'd worn something warmer than shorts and a t-shirt. I'm starting to get goosebumps all over my arms and legs. I'm hungry too; I haven't ate a proper meal since I boarded the plane back to Korea. I hope it's not long until I find a gas station or something.

///////

I'm tired. I'm cold. I'm hungry and my legs hurt from all the walking. What time is it? I have no way of checking. My phone is dead and I don't own a watch. I'm guessing it's pretty late though judging by the stars on the sky. I look up sighing. I'm starting to lose hope of ever getting out of these woods. On the plus side, the sky looks amazing. Unlike the sky in Seoul, here, I can see each star so clearly. It's beautiful.

I decide to take a break and look at the stars for a bit longer. I sit on the side of the road hugging my knees to keep warm. It's so cold I can't stop trembling. I sat there contemplating for a moment whether I should just go back to my car. No, there's no way I'm going back now, I came so far already I might as well carry on. Who knows, maybe a gas station is just round the corner? I chuckle at myself. As if that's the case.

??? P.O.V

I knew she would come back at some point; there was no doubt about it. It sure took a while but here she is, sitting hugging her knees like some child. Pathetic. How dare she even show up here after what she's done?! I clenched my fists in anger. Control yourself; wait for the right moment and then you'll pay for what you've done to me. I never forgot and I never forgave. Watch your back, because I'm coming for you.
