The debate continues and now, we're in quadrangle, waiting for the Miss President, Florenielle Jones, with the Vice President, Axel Kev Scothard — Ate Jennelyn's younger brother — to announce who will be the representative of our University Debate.

Tss, I didn't even know her younger brother study here.

Humalukipkip ako sa isang tabi habang pinapakinggan ang mga sinasabi nina Florenielle at Axel. They're just saying some things while waiting for the two announcement.

At makalipas lang ng ilang minuto, Florenielle already changed the topic to the short announcement.

"Here we are to announce the representative of our school for university debate 2020 - 2021, we'll pick 4 from college students and 6 from highschool." She glance at the card she's holding and smiled. "Kindly join us here in stage, Mr. Kane Sasaki, Mr. Ace Ford Ferrer, Ms. Catherine Marqueza, Mr. Jack Revelis, Mr. Drake Sison, Ms. Jenelle Fernandez." Natigilan ako at nagpatuloy naman ito sa pagbanggit ng mga pangalan.

Lah? Kasama pa rin ako?

Nagtatakha man ay umakyat na rin ako sa stage, at kamalas-malasan nga naman at katabi ko pa si Jack na animo'y isang kandidato at malawak na nakangiti sa harapan.

Napangiwi naman ako. "Ms. Azhuka Souma, Mr. Chit Nakamura, Mr. Iroshy Saito and Mr. Dylen Rozos."

Axel glance on us and face the audience. "They are Xyclein Academy's 10 representatives for the Universties Debate," he annouced.

Pinigilan ko ang sarili ko na mapasinghal. I hate this! Gustuhin ko man magback-out, I know for sure, I can't dahil sa susunod na bukas na magaganap ang debate.

Shit lang talaga.

Nang matapos ang anunsyo, may sinabi sila kung saan ito gaganapin, and of course, here in Xyclein. Pabagsak kong inihiga ang katawan sa kama at nagpagulong-gulong dito.

"Elle—" Napa-upo ako nang pumasok si Ate Jesh, she's eyeing me weirdly and curiously. "The food is ready, let's eat."

I nodded at nang makalabas na ito, tumayo na ako upang makapagpalit ng damit. Wearing a creme color sweatshirt and sweatpants, I went to our dining area. Umupo ako sa harapan nito at kaagad niya ako inabutan ng chopstick.

"Thanks," I thanked her.

Tumango lang ito at sinimulan nang kumain, so, do I. "I heard you're one of ten representatives of our school for university debate?"

"Mm," I nodded.

"So, you'll be busy," she concluded. Nag-angat ako nang tingin sa kaniya at nginisian. "You'll miss me 'no?" I teased her.

She slightly shake her head making me gasped. "Y-you..." Malakas itong tumawa na ikina-nguso ko.

Nang matapos kaming kumain, nagpresinta ako na maghuhugas at hinayaan niya naman ako. Sa paghugas, ang aking isip ay naglalayag. Kumusta na kaya sila? It's been 3 years nang mangyari iyon...3 years...

I sighed heavily and finished my task. Nang matapos, pinunasan ko ang mga ito gamit ng malinis na pamunas at inilagay sa cupboard. I headed back on my room when I felt a pang of pain on my heart.

Fuck.

Pumasok ako sa kuwarto ko at humiga. I felt my body relaxed, but not my mind. Napa-upo ako mula sa pagkakahiga at nang lingunin ko ang maliit na pa-square na orasan, napa-iling nalang ako. Humiga ako no'ng 8 pm, but, it's already 12 am!
