I hope you all enjoyed the story, but let it be known this isn't my original story. While I don't know who created it, the story was told to me by a councilor at my camp in the summer when I was younger. So for those of you who would like a good campfire story, please feel free to alter it and use it as you please.
Pro tips for reading this story to others:
1. Talk slowly and seriously.
2. Add extra details as you go along, set the mood.
3. DON'T LOOK OFF SOMETHING TO READ, tell it as if it happened.
4. If you have a scar, use that as the broken lamp piece part.
5. See if you can't fake some tears when "All hope was lost" in the story.
