The Fateful Encounter

A/n for those who haven't read my other book/books (Depending on when you are reading this) anything in italic is a though anything ~Like this is a whisper~ and obviously anything writen normally is a normal volume speaking

KANEKI'S POV 

I leave the apartment I'm staying at, and head toward the place of a few old friends on my way I see a girl walking through an alleyway, she has a group of about 4 men following her, "I have a bad feeling about this" I cross the road and use my Rinkaku to launch myself up the building and watch everything from above, I watch the men grab the girl "What's a pretty little girl like you doing her" I jump down the building and walk around the corner "Hey what do you guys think your doing" "What does it matter to you small fry" the guy who I assume is the leader walks out into the light reveling himself to be a ghoul I assume to try and frighten me "Ah is see your a ghoul" "Yeah and I eat small fry like you for breakfast" ~It's people like you who give ghouls a bad name~ "What was that" "This guy doesn't look that strong I might not even need to use my Rinkaku" "Did you hear me what did you say" the leader pushes me and summons his Rinkaku "This guy is really starting to piss me of" He uses his Rinkaku and pierces my stomach I cough up blood and fall to the ground limp.

??? POV

"Geez why do guys always try to be hero's it always ends up with them  dead" I look back up and see the surprising shock of the guy I just saw die stand up with out a single scratch.

Kaneki's POV

"For fuck sake you ruined my favorite shirt and got blood on my new pants" "Wha- how are you even alive right now" the white and iris of my right eye turn black my pupil turns red and red veins appear I summon my Rinkaku "Y-your the one-eyed king" "Ugh I hate that name I prefer the one my friend gave me eye-patch" I use my Rinkaku to leap onto the guys back and snap his neck I then look at the other 3 who summon up there kangun's 1 of them has a Ukaku and the other 2 have Koukaku's they all charge me, one of the Koukaku's charge me he stab's at me with his blade like Kagune, I jump over it and land behind him then peirce him with my Rinkaku his body falls to the ground limp covered in blood I then turn my sights onto the other 2 who are trembling, "Y-your a monster" "I'm a monster, I'm not the person praying on girls in alleyways but if kicking your ass's makes me a monster then fine I'm the biggest monster around" at the end of my sentence I gain a cynical smile and then rush them I jump on the back of the man with a Ukaku I then bite down and rip is Kagune out, I then break his legs and move onto the final one, he jabs at me with his blade like Kagune similarly to the other guy I use my Rinkaku to grab him and fling him into the wall he lands with his back to me, he attempt to get up I kick him back down and bite into his back and rip his spine out "Ugh guess I bite a little to deep" I then rip of a bit of the guys shoulder and begin to eat it after finishing I then walk over to the girl "Hey are you okay" "I'm fine, I didn't need your help" "Heh what's your name"  "Touka, Touka Kirishima, you?" "I'm Ken, Ken Kaneki, You look familiar have we met before" "I don't know I met someone who looked similar to you but they went by the name Haise" "Ah that's where I remember you from" "Hu" "Haise was the name I went by when I had my memories wiped and replaced with that of those in the CCG" "How did that happen" "I had a run in with the grim reaper of the CCG and our battle left him unscathed and me with my memories gone but my memories weren't gone they had been manipulated and changed I after a long time regained them but even before that they effect me I spent a lot of time at anteiku that actually where I was heading before all of this " "Why?" "Well simpally because I used to work there" " Wha- why did you leave?" " I.. I Drew to much attention to myself ended up causing the Aogiri tree to attack us and kidnap me after Anteiku resuced me I left and taught myself to fight, I then worked my way up and have some of the most influential and powerful ghouls at my command" "Wait. you were the one we were sent into rescue" "You where there b-but that would mean your a ghoul too" "Yeah, they call me the white rabbit" "Oh.. sorry for the inconvenience about that" "It's... it's not a problem at Anteiku we look after our own" "Heh that's the motto" "By the way where are your other ghouls" "Probably spread across the town I only know where my five highest ranked men are but apart from that they are probably making sure the CCG doesn't do anything one notice of them and I might be forced to call in my entire fighting force to defend my old friends" "I thought one-eye had be reported dead though" "yeah well reports can be deceiving" "Well I was actually heading to work now if you want to join me" I give her a gentle smile "Sure thing I wouldn't mind getting to know you a bit better on the way" "Don't get ahead of your self" "I won't" on the way out of the alley I walk over to the guy with the missing Kagune and break his neck "What was that for you had already bit his Kagune out" "Can't have anyone reporting to CCG that I'm here" "Oh that makes sense I guess" we then head of towards Anteiku "So your white rabbit" "Yeah" "Nice to finnally meet you I heard you helped hinami back when her mother di- was killed" "Yeah the CCG agent that killed her mother attempted to kill her... I got in the way" "I know I was there in the shadow's I took on the other agent just to distract him" "There was another agent" "Yeah his name was Amon.. he was tough he he left me alone when he realised I didn't want to fight him we met later just before my encounter with the reaper..." ".. What happened to him" "I killed him.. but.." "But what" "The CCG have been experimenting, you know the Q squad" "I'v heard rumors I always assumed they where false" "Well they aren't I was one of them.. along time ago, well they have been experimenting with a similar operation as that but on dead bodies turning previously deceased humans in to half breed ghouls like me he was one of there guinea pigs, Now a member of my fighting force" "Oh..." I feel the phone in my pocket vibrating I bring it out "Ugh what does he want" I answer the phone "Black Rabbit what do you want" "Black rabbit!" "Uh do you know Black Rabbit?" "Know him, Ayato is my brother" "Wait are you with Touka" "Yeah" "Ha your with that weakling" I gain a serious expression "Ayato you try anything and I won't hesitate to rip you apart" "O-okay boss" "Now what did you want" "Oh yeah, the Q's have been spotted heading towards ward 20" "Okay keep tabs on them if they enter the ward call me I deal them myself I repeat do not engage them I will deal with them if they enter the ward is that understood" "Yes boss" I hang up the phone "What was that all about?" "The Q's have been spotted heading toward's ward 20" "So why not send one of your other ghouls after them" "Simple, who better to take the Q's out then there old teacher" "You taught them" "I was the first Q thus I was there superior not to mention the person I was given the memories of being my father was the reaper himself which is why it was so hard to kill him" "Oh..." We arrive at Anteiku "Hey Touka" "Hey, Enji" "Wheres everyone else?" "Well manager is down stairs Nishiki, Renji and Kaya haven't arrived yet" "Okay" "Who is that with you" "Hello My name's Kaneki" "He helped me deal with some ghouls a few minutes ago who tried to well kill me, I say helped I wasn't able to do much he how ever tore them apart very gruesome" "That reminds me there is some food the manager want's to give you being as you haven't eaten in like 4 days" "Okay" I feel my phone vibrating again ~Yotsume~ "I got to take this" "It it Ayato again" "No but same ranking in my force" I answer the phone "what is it Yotsume"  "Ayato told me to tell you that the Q's should be in ward 20 in 5 minutes" "And where is he" "he said something about hunting the weak" "SHIT okay Hinami you know where Anteiku is" "Yeah" "Head here now" I hang up the phone "Did I hear you right where you talking to Hinami" "Yeah she's on her way here I have too go stop your brother doing something stupid" "Wha-" "If I'm right he's about to engage the Q's" "And I don't doubt his power maybe he could be 2 but not all 5 of them" "Okay" I put my mask on and rush of, using my Rinkaku to launch myself toward where Ayato and Hinami where stationed "Ayato you idiot " After about 3 minutes of traveling I see Hinami on her way to Anteiku "Yotsume" "Eye-patch" "With me I may need a hand" we both head of until we hear a raging battle we rush towards it "As I expected come on we need to hurry" We reach the battle and see Black rabbit being dominated by the Q's I see Urie go in for a fatal blow I jump down and deflect his blow with my Rinkaku and launch him into the wall "Yotsume take Black back to base I'll deal with these" Hinami picks Ayato up and rushes of one of the Q's who I don't recognise tries to chase them I intercept and knock them back "Leave them we need to concentrate on the threat been a while... Eye-patch" "I could say the same Urie" "Yeah well" "I notice a lot of the squad has been changed... what happened" "Why do you care?" "Well I guess I don't but curiosity is a strange thing" "Ugh for your information this is Touma, Hsiao and Aura they replace the originals who aren't here" "What happened to them" "Tooru has been transfered to another squad for more training" "What happened to Ginishi" I notice Sakio become a bit distressed "He, he died during a operation murdered by a ghoul" I look at them surprised and shocked ~Sorry~ "What was that" "I said i'm sorry" "Wha- why" "Ginshi was a good person one of the last who deserved to die" "Hah that priceless coming from you" "Yeah is that because I taught you 3 what you now and then betrayed the CCG" "IF YOU WHERE STILL THERE HE MIGHT STILL BE WITH US" "... to answer your question why I care is because as much as you may hate it I still see you guys as family and care" they notice a tear in my eye "Wha-" "but despite that you have hurt one of my friends and will most likely hurt more if you go any further in towards ward 14 so I'll give you a choose" "What's that then" "Leave now return to CCG headquarters or die by my hand right here right now" I see Sakio flinch and move back "So which will it be" at that moment Urie Launches at me I easily dodge him "Have all the lessons I taught you gone out the window" I turn and sucker punch Urie "don't attack someone head on if your not 100% sure that they are slower then you"  "Agrgh"  just then Sakio uses her Rinkaku to attempt to impale me I easily push her aside with my Rinkaku "Heh Sakio if your going to attempt to attack someone stronger and faster from behind don't make so much noise" I then wrap my Rinkaku around Urie and through him at the other Q's, after a few seconds they all group back up "What are you doing" "What do you mean" "Your acting like this is a spar match from back in the day" "I guess I kinda miss training you lot heh well if you guys still think you can take me bring it other wise leave and don't come back " then I see Sakio ready her Rinkaku, Urie readies his Koukaku, Aura readies his Ukaku, Touma readies his Bikaku and Hsiao readies her  Koukaku "I guess you really want a fight well bring it" I bring my Rinkaku out they all charge me at once using a amari squad formation the second the first attack came in from the front I launched myself up on top of the one behind me I then use my Rinkaku to throw them at Urie launching them both into a wall I then charge towards Sakio when Touma impales me in my right side and Hsiao attempts to impale my chest straight on I grab her blade and spin her into a near by wall, I then wrap my Rinkaku around Touma and smash him into the floor and then walk over to Sakio who is visbly shaken I go to her ear I give her a hug ~I am sorry~ I then knock her out as painless as possible, when she begins to fall I grab her and softly put her on the floor, I look around and Urie is the only one still conscious I walk over to him "Ugh, go on kill me" I just bend down and hug him "Wha-" "get out of here I can't bring myself to end you not after finding out about Ginshi"  I get back up with tears in my eyes I then pick Aura off Urie and place him by Uries side "As I said I still see you as family and losing a member of family will still hit me hard" I then leave and head back to Anteiku.
