The best thing

   "Wake up, sleepy head."

     I can feel something on my lips.  Touching my lips sweetly.  When I opened my eyes, I saw Chris looking at me then gave me a smack on my lips.

     I saw him smiled at me.  He moved a little so I can move.  Napakunot ang noo ko kasi this is not my house?  Ang dilim ng paligid.  Pero ang ganda ng mga kulay ng mga ilaw.

    "Where are we?" Nawala yata ang pagkalasing ko kasi ibang lugar talaga ito.  Naka - park kami sa isang coffee shop.

    "Tagaytay," sagot ni Chris and sat comfortably on the driver side of my car.  "I love it here.  The bright lights of the urban city gives me a brighter perspective about life."  Sagot niya at tumingin siya sa nagkikislapang ilaw sa kalayuan.

     I felt the cold wind touched my skin.  The car windows are opened and I can feel the fresh breeze of the evening wind.

     "You're cold," sabi niya and he removed his jacket and gave it to me.

      "What are we doing here?" Taka ko.  I glanced at the clock and its one o' clock in the morning.  Puyat na ako and may pasok pa ako bukas.

     "I just wanted to be with you.  We are going to eat bulalo later.  Marami diyan 'di ba?  I called Armel and he told me a nice place where we can eat." Sagot niya sa akin.

     "Grabe naman.  Magsasabaw lang tayo, dumayo pa talaga tayo dito," natatawang sabi ko.

     "I wanted to run from the busy life of the metro.  I wanted to have a peace of mind.  I don't want to think of anything else but you." Sagot niya sa akin.

     Pinigil ko ang mapangiti.  Naramdaman ko ang kamay ni Chris na kinuha ang kamay ko at hinalikan niya iyon.

     "You asked me why did I resign from Springsville," sabi niya sa akin.

     "We don't need to talk about it, Chris.  If you don't want to tell me the reason, its fine," sagot ko sa kanya.

     "I resigned because I wanted peace.  I wanted to be myself.  I don't want to be told what I need to do." Seryosong sabi niya.

     Napakunot ang noo ko.  Well, he is serious.  Mukhang may hugot ang mga sinasabi nito.  Nakita kong tumingin siya sa akin.

     "But everytime I am with you, you are giving me peace.  Just looking at your face, parang wala ng problema.  I don't want to lose you, Bianca.  Knowing you is the best thing that happened to me."

     Shit.  And my heart melted.  Gusto kong sumigaw.  Mahal ko na si Chris!

     Ngumiti siya at muling hinalikan ang kamay ko.

     "When you asked me to marry you, I didn't hesitate even just a second.  I know it sounded crazy but I felt something that moment that's why I said yes." He said that while looking straight into my eyes.  "That marriage means something to me."

     Ayoko ng ganitong kaseryoso kasi natatakot ako.  Baka hindi ko kayanin kapag may salitang sinabi sa akin si Chris. 

     "Whatever happens Bianca, please stay with me?  Please be with me no matter what.  I know you have lots of questions in your mind about me.  I have so many things I wanted to tell you just give me a little more time."

     "I don't know what you're talking about, Chris." Naguguluhan ako sa sinasabi niya.

     He smiled and kissed me on my lips.

     "I know," natatawang sabi niya.  "Huwag mo ng pansinin mga sinasabi ko.  I am crazy," sabi pa niya.

     Nagulat ako ng biglang tumunog ng malakas ang telepono ko.  Shit.  Panira naman ito ng moment.  Sasabunutan ko kung sino man ang tumatawag na ito.  Madaling - araw na.  Si Gilly ang tumatawag.  Sumenyas ako kay Chris ng sandali at sinagot ko ang telepono ko.
