Sarah's POV
I got home and went to bed. I lay in bed, fresh in pajama's. I lay on top of the covers of my queen sized bed, feeling the chill of the air conditioner flow over me. I didn't want to think about it, but it filled my mind. I had lost my virginity tonight. And I regretted every moment of it.
My hair was in a loose side pony. My lavender tank top and pale designed silky pajama pants were comfortable, but I felt like I didn't deserve everything I have. I felt dirty. I felt horrible, guilty. In fact, before I got dressed I took a long shower, hoping to cleanse myself of everything, but it didn't work.
Then I thought of Zac. I should've talked to him more tonight. I should have hung out with him, further away from Jeremy. I missed him these past few years and I regretted not jumping at the chance to be close to him again. We've been friends forever, and even though we didn't talk much he was very polite. Before I knew it I had drifted off to sleep with thoughts of Zac still in my head.
I woke up the next morning and got dressed so I could go hang out with some of my best friends. Dassen, Cally, and Becka. They were the three girls I told everything. When I got to Becka's they pulled me to her room and interrogated me. I told them everything. They cried, laughed, swooned along with me. The laughs and swoons came before what happened, and some after, and mainly involved Zac. Especially the swooning, there wasn't much to swoon about Jeremy after I told them what we did.
Dassen had dark tan skin, and her hair were a perfessional formation of dark locks. Cally was a pale blonde, and Becka a redhead. They understood and gave me advice on everything, but it still left me wishing I had better answers for things I needed help on. After hours of TV, gossip, and ice cream I decided to walk home. It was dark out, but there were street lights, and I didn't live that far.
I was a couple blocks away, walking down a cool quiet street. I had passed a streetlight a second ago so when I turned around I saw a guy on a bike heading towards me. He passed through the streetlight and I realized it was Zac. I gave a small smile and he was next to me. He stood up on his stopped bike next to me.
"Hi." He said.
"Hey." I didn't know what to say, I hadn't really seen him in a while. I blushed though, his loose gray tank top jersey was hanging down his chest as he leaned over his bike handles to talk to me. I could see him muscles in his arms, and his abs through the gap between his chest and the shirt. His shirt had sweat on it, but it strangely attracted me to him more.
He got off his bike and stood in front of me as we talked. His hair stuck to his forehead. His eyes were a bright blue and I had to look down to keep from showing my feeling about his looks across my face.
"Where have you been lately? It seems like forever since we last hung out?" I asked him.
"My dad got a job in Florida for a year for his job, so we've only been back for a month. All my old friends are still here, my house was kept somehow for us, so were back to how it was. But before that I don't know." He said. The last part seemed to be more direct, more of a question. He looked me in the eyes.
"I don't know, new friends I guess." I shrugged and avoided direct contact. I didn't want to tell him that I had drifted unintentionally because of his then girlfriend Tally. She was a major bitch, but was nicer with him. I avoided him when they were together. That was my plan at first, but then he was always with her. Drawn to her, though I didn't know why, but then I just couldn't hang out with him and it just seemed to end.
"Well, I hope we can try to fix it." He said giving me a side smile. IO loved his smiles. I smiled back and crossed my arms. It was chilly and I was wearing a tank top with my jeans. He noticed, and I felt rude, because he stepped closer and wrapped his arms around me.
"I hope that holds you 'til you get home." He said with a laugh. "Sorry I didn't have a jacket for you." He actually sounded guilty.
I laughed. "It's fine."
"I gotta get home, but I was wondering if you'd like to go out to eat some time. You know to catch up." He said the last part a little quicker and it looked like he was blushing, but it was probably just the dark.
"Yah, sure, that sounds great." I smiled at him.
Zac's POV
"Yah, sure, that sounds great." She smiled at me. I couldn't help but return it. When I first saw her walking alone down the street I biked faster. I stopped next to her and she turned towards me. I saw her beautiful face, those green eyes I missed over the years, her dark brown hair that I just wanted to run my hand through. God did I miss you. I wanted to say it out loud, but I wasn't about to lay out my feelings for her when she obviously had a boyfriend.
She said yes I just remembered and then I snapped back into reality.
"That's great." I said shyly. So much for trying to look cool. I said bye and then got on my bike. I gave her one last smile and then headed back to my house to get thinking about our date, I mean hang out. It wasn't a date because she was dating someone and if she was happy I didn't ever want to hurt her.
