"Whatcha doing here all by yourself with this gangster?" He stood in front of me.
"Uh, this gangster has a name asshole!" Charlie called out but George ignored him.
"We were just hanging out." I responded.
"Well, not anymore. Lets go!" He grabbed my hand and dragged me out of Charlie's house.
"Hey you can't just come in here and steal my guest!" Charlie yelled out.
"Yes I can!" George yelled back as we both ran.
"Where are we going?" I asked surprised as we still kept running.
"You'll see." He said with a smirk.
I giggled as we ran, we started getting closer and closer to somewhere very familiar.
"Your special place." I say, trying to catch my breath from that long ass run , my lungs felt like they were burning.
"Yep." He said then laid down on the tall grass. I laid down next to him timidly.
The grass was actually softer than what I expected it to be.
"So... How's it going?" I asked after a long period of silence.
He shrugged.
"It's going alright. Hopefully I can look for a job so I can move out again. I cannot stand that man..." He mumbled.
"That man?" I asked cautiously.
"Just that fucker that re married my mother. He knew I would fuck up and come crawling back to them."
It was at first that George would talk more about his father, well more like step father, and he did mention him last month but now he's really talking about it.
"Why don't you like him?" I asked carefully. I didn't want his mood to go rotten from talking about his step dad.
"Well, he will never replace my real dad that's for sure..." He muttered. I waited for him to continue which he did a few seconds later.
"He's a hardass since he always gave me hard time since I didn't meet up to his expectations. He banned a lot of stuff while I lived with them, like music, clothing, food, subjects to talk about, religion, and my friends."
Right, the guys aren't exactly the best role models out there but they are great friends.
"Because I always went against the fucker, he would always throw me negative shit to ruin my goals..." He tsked after that as if remembering something.
With each word he got out from talking about his step dad he seemed to slowly lose his temper a bit.
"- So I won't let that fucker tell me how to live my fucking life! Fuck!" He yelled out frustrated.
I got worried from seeing him lose his temper like that, I've seen him pissed before but not like this.
"George." I called out to him by shifting to his side and as gently as I could, I placed a hand on his shoulder and my other on his arm.
He seemed to calm down a bit but his eyes were closed as if to control himself.
"What was your birth father like?" I asked, maybe he had better memories from his actual father, he did say that his step dad will never replace his real dad.
"Father; was the complete opposite of that fucker. He was loving, he supported me throughout my childhood."
When I saw the pained expression on his face, I panicked a little; I was going to stop him but then his pain turned into a soft smile.
