"Man, it's been a while since I've played and it feels great." He started playing a different tune but would pause a bit to try to remember the notes.

"Ya know, its always been a dream to me to be one of the greatest guitarist in the world." He started to say without looking at me.

"Being in a band with amazing fans that would be dying to meet me, creating music and showing it to the world, meeting other bands would be so fucking rad, then I would be able to attend those parties getting shit-faced, getting high as fuck, and all women will be around me." He smirked before continuing.

"But of course theres already a gal on my mind so I hate to be the heart breaker to all those lovely ladies." I chuckled.

"Yea I'm sure you can achieve your dreams, you're amazing on the guitar, I'm a bit surprise you aren't famous yet."

Charlie scratched the back off his head before he let out a nervous laugh.

"Yea right, it takes more than just playing the same tunes that are already created." He set his guitar down beside him to look at his fingers.

"I would try to show my skills but the most audience I have so far are just friends and family, I did try to participate for auditions but there are already others that are already well prepared and have what it takes to play."

I haven't noticed it yet, but Charlie's fingers are a bit scarred and rough, I suppose it must be the sign of his hard work during all those years.

"Before I stopped playing, it was because I looked at my hands. They were so bloody, and I forgot how much pain my fingers were from all the intense practicing, it effected me for lack of sleep, and lack of eating."

The room got really tense.

"I was so pissed. I worked so hard to the point that I could hardly use my hands for weeks because of how hard I practiced and yet I achieved nothing. It wasn't fair. Even though Aron promised he would be able to get us to play, it still hasn't happened."

Charlie let out a deep sigh before letting himself fall back onto his bunked bed with the guitar beside him.

"Hey man, you're still young. And don't give up now, you worked so hard. But if you continue, then theres a chance that your dream will become reality." I said with a small smile.

Charlie opened one eye to look at me then smiled and covered his face with both hands.

"You're the only one I've told this to. Don't tell anyone else or I'll give you an atomic wedgie." He teased.

I scoffed then playfully hit his arm.

"You wouldn't dare."

"Oh I probably would. So you've been warned."

We laughed, he sat up again, then we heard a knock at the door.

"Did you invite anyone else?" I asked. He shook his head.

"No way, I only invited you. Who the hell could that be?" He got up to leave his room, I also got up to follow him.

Charlie opened the door to reveal George.

"George?"

"I've been looking for Penelope, and I'm guessing you have her here all to yourself huh?" He asked with arms crossed.

Charlie scoffed.

"Penelope, your annoying boyfriend is here." He said as he moved aside so George would come in.

"...hi..." I say shyly. I didn't understand on why I was so shy now. Maybe because Charlie said that my boyfriend is here for me?

How strange... My boyfriend... Words I didn't think I would hear or use.
