Being pure is the foundation of natural pamper and this can be accomplished by taking care of yourself. Taking care of yourself includes eating a healthy diet, implementing adequate exercise into your day, cleaning away dirt and germs to stop you from getting sick, being mindful and relaxing when you have the time and lastly doing things that you enjoy. Essentially, what you will learn in the PURE unit is how to purify you and your body to provide you with a better quality of life. 

Eating is simply the ingestion of food containing energy- allowing for our body to take in nutrients and vitamins vital for life. A healthy-balanced diet consists of eating (YES YOU GUESSED IT) five portions of a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables each day. These portions don't just need to be 'items' or 'pieces' of fruit. If you wish, cutting up carrots into sticks, blending a banana in a smoothie and adding nothing but plain yoghurt or water, can be a great way to get your fruit and veggies. Fruit and vegetables contain many minerals and vitamins vital to give you the energy and you need to enjoy life. 

For snacks-I know it's tempting to get a good old packet of chips or chocolate or candy, but you'd be surprised what is in it and what it does to you. 'Unhealthy' food may seem good at the time and you may be having the absolute time of your life as you eat it in front of the TV binge watching your favourite series, however, in an hours time- your energy is guaranteed to plummet and this will impact your mood and behaviour. Get this- per 100 grams of your favourite milk chocolate bar, you will consume 52 grams of sugar, meaning just over half of what you consume is pure sugar. The remaining ingredients consists of carbohydrates, fat. Largely, these 'tasty' confectionaries contain substantial amounts of calories and provide little protein and essential vitamins. 

This isn't to entirely restrict you from eating your favourite chocolate or packet of chips, but we need to enjoy these delights as part of a balanced diet- meaning we restrict our consumption to one or two treats a week.
