Where Patton has a secret, He's colorblind.

NOT TRYING TO MAKE FUN OF ANYONE WHO IS READ TILL THE END FOR HAPPY ENDING!

I understand the colorblindness it real and shouldn't be talked about in the wrong way. If there is something incorrect in this chapter that you would like me to fix, DM and comment  to me and I will fix it ASAP. Thank you!

P.S. I feel slightly uncomfortable writing about them being in relationships and I made one exception in one of my stories and depending on how this goes I might make and exception (But NO MORE then Fluff. I refuse. Ok? good) So I'm just going to write about them being family for now, sorry! Only time this message is going to be here

Ok, I'm done

Patton's P.O.V

I was whistling some sort of tune, something Roman taught me, making dinner for everyone, spaghetti by Verge's request, when Logan walked in.

"Hey, Patton, I saw that our old pot was burning at the bottom, I'm sure it's nothing but I bought a new one just in case, so can you use the one that's blue so you don't burn yourself?"

I froze for a second. No one in the mindscape knew, but I was colorblind. Like, really colorblind, all I can see are different shades of grays, blacks, and whites. I've gotten around it mostly, asking for others to grab things color coordinated secretly, and telling employees at stores so they can help me, but no one here knew. Neither did I want them to, they don't need to worry about me.

I smiled at Logan. "Sure thing! Thanks for the warning kiddo!"

He rolled his eyes, getting back to his book, "We're the same age,"

I laughed a little, continuing to make the sauce in one pan. Soon enough, I had to cook the noodles.

I sighed, wipping my hands on a towel. "Right! This can't be that hard, it's a different pot I bet, I'll just judge on size!"

I opened the cupboard doors besides me, looking at the assortment of cooking supplies. Over the years, being able to identify things around the house has been easy, since almost everything important is labeled, and I can still see objects.

I frowned, looking over the couple of pots, before picking out the light grey one. "They said blue is a bright color...so this must be it!" I said, placing the pot on the stove, and throwing the noodles in. I smiled to myself, before going over to the living room to check on Thomas, who was also cooking with his friend Joan.

I smiled, and decided to take control for a little bit, helping Thomas place right ingredients that Joan passed to him, making sure they followed all the instructions they gave him, stuff like that.

Suddenly, the fire alarm went off.

I jumped up in surprise, and turned around to see the pot on fire, as the beeping continued. I froze in place, until Roman came out and put it out with a quick wave of his hand. Snuffing out the fire before it spread.

Logan and Virgil came running in on the scene. "What happened! I heard the alarms go off and ran here, being the most convenient place for a fire."
