Small town
It is where I grew up
It is also I learned not to voice my thoughts

Small town
Church signs read homosexuality is a sin
They build a wall of hate between me and who I truly am

Small town
Person of color , never bring home
Never be seen in a PDA way

Small town
Society and hatred
Mask and lies were taught to be perfected.

Small town
I await the day I leave
I await the day I can be the boy/girl behind the mask
