Ayaka quickly exited the store without the shopkeeper noticing. She'd also thought about her actions. Maybe she was a little harsh on her little sister, she would apologize once she saw her.

Ayaka looked around the parking lot. "N-Nana-chan...?" She whispered, a wave of fear and dread washing over her. Where was Nana? She'd told her to wait outside! Where could she have gone?

Ayaka dashed down the street, her legs seemed to move on their own. She stopped at a curb, there was three ways to go. Left, right, forward, forward, right, left, right, left... She kept spinning around and around in the same spot. Which way did her Nana go?

Left, right, forward, forward, left, left, right, right, right. RIGHT! She dashed down the street to her right, the thought of her cute little sister, Nana making her run like the wind.

Nana looked around, fear making her body tremble. The buildings were so tall, the shadows filling every nook and cranny, dark alleys, what if there was a robber hiding in that alley over there? She was so lost! She backed into a brick building, sliding down until she sat there, hugging her knees. A single tear spilled down her cheek. Oh why hadn't she stayed with her sister?

Then, all of a sudden, she saw a lone boy walk down the sidewalk across the street. He looked like he was Ayaka's age. She sat where she was, as still as a statute, trying so desperately to blend in. He could be a thug for all she knew!

The boy kicked a pebble and kept his gaze on the sidewalk, his hands stuffed in his pocket. His short black hair hung over his forehead, shading his eyes. Then all of a sudden he looked up.

Nana followed his stare to a window of, what, an abandoned apartment or something? A pretty little girl who looked close to her and Ayaka's age was smiling back at him, her cheeks resting on her hands. Neither of them noticed the little girl huddled against the brick building across the street, and that's how she wanted to keep it.

The boy's lips parted into a smile as they gazed at each other. Maybe they're in love, Nana thought, suddenly interested.

The girl had silky black hair that hung a little over her shoulders. There was barely any feature Nana could make out from where she was. She watched intently as the girl hugged her elbows.

Nana smiled, wondering what it would be like to be her friend.

Then, all of a sudden, the girl leaped from the window. What is she doing...? Nana thought, right before realizing another feature that would scare her out of her wits.

The girl landed on the sidewalk in front of the boy, a wicked smile on her face. The thing was, she had no other half of her body. No legs, no feet, nothing that should be below her waist. Another horrifying feature was the scythe in her hand. The large, sharp object that the Grim Reaper carried along, Nana recognized it. The boy stood there shocked, his feet rooted to the ground in revulsion and his eyes as big as saucers. Every nerve in his body urged him to move, but he was paralyzed with fear.

Nana watched with a horrified expression as the girl sliced the boy in half with the scythe, mimicking her own disfigurement. "Where's my legs?!" The monster screeched at the bloody corpse of the boy. Both halfs of his body hit the ground with a thud, blood splattering the sidewalk. Nana immediately stood up and screamed, her instincts taking over.

The girl looked up at her to see another awaiting victim staring at her with revulsion. She raised her scythe, ready to cut her in half. The girl ran for her life, but she would surely catch her.

As she ran, she glanced backwards, only to see the monster crawling towards her on her elbows. The unholy creature had it's eyes set on her, and it was pretty fast considering it was running after her on its elbows whilst holding the scythe in one hand. This filled Nana's stomach with dread and disgust - but mostly fear, as the sound the monster made when she crawled was very disturbing.

Tek Tek Tek... Tek Tek...

"NANA!!!" Ayaka yelled to the top of her lungs, hearing the familiar distant screams. Tears streamed down her cheeks. She'd been running in the right direction! That was a relief, but she couldn't sigh her relief just yet.

Ayaka darted in the direction of the screams filling the night air. Oh God please let her sister be okay...She turned a corner only to bump into someone who had been ready to run around the same corner.

"Watch where you're going, dummy!" Ayaka snapped, only to realize it was Nana. She instantly wrapped her in a tight hug. "NANA!" She cried joyfully, squeezing the life out of her little sister.

Nana squirmed out of her sister's grasp, a look of terror on her face. "We have to run!" She warned her.

"What're you talking about, Nana?" Ayaka asked, only to have cut her off.

       "There's a---"

"Oh, I'm so glad you're okay!" Ayaka sighed, relieved, pulling her in another hug. "Where were you? Why'd you go this far without me? What were you thinking? Answer me!"

"Aya, listen--"Nana tried to speak, her voice muffled by her sister's jacket.

"It doesn't matter," Ayaka replied. "You're here and that's all that matters."

         Tek....Teke Teke Tek...

        Nana was filled with dread.
