Chapter 3: Saving Isaac

Start from the beginning

"I think we're done here," sheriff Stilinski deadpans and walks out of the room, causing Stiles to spaz out for the second time today. He struggles to hide behind a magazine and the sheriff and I stared at him like he's the biggest idiot we've ever encountered.

"Hi, Scott," he says ignoring his son, but before walking away, he gives him one last look, wondering what the hell is wrong with his son, as am I. Does he really think that worked?

As we all watch his father leave, an older man comes out of the same doorway as Stiles' father, telling us to enter his office. When the two boys eyes land on the man that called for us, their faces morph into fear. I would say it's probably because they have never been sent to the principles office before, but I know that has to be a lie.

When everyone sits down, I stand in front of the desk, leaning over to be eye level with the man. "Sit here quietly," I compel the older man. Turning around, I smirk at the two shocked faces in front of me, "I need to have a chat with the boys."

"How did you-? What are you?" Stiles asks me as he rakes his brain to try and figure out why and how the principal listened to my command.

"I'm a vampire, sweetheart." They seem to have trouble convincing themselves that I am, in fact, a vampire as I watch his eyebrows shoot upward an inch. But that's not what I am here to talk about. His Selina with my being isn't a priority. "And actually, I need to talk to you, Scott. I have a message from Derek."

After texting Derek earlier today, he told me he would be here to pick me up after school, but to also pick Scott up so he can show him something in Isaac's home. I would have asked for him to further explain, but I knew he would ignore me as he repeatedly does.

"Wait, Derek? You're with Derek?" Stiles interrupts, but one glare towards him had him closing his mouth and looking anywhere but my eyes. I can see why Derek is always annoyed at the mention of Stiles now.

Looking back over at Scott, he waits for what I have to tell him, with a hint of anger in his eyes, "After school, we'll be in the parking lot. He has something you need to see." Turning around, I look back at the principle compelling him to forget everything he just heard and to forget I was here. I then exit the room, leaving them to be punished for my actions before Scott can ask or say anything to me about what was just said.

As promised, Derek's car is parked out front as the police speed off with Isaac in the back seat. I can see the fear in his face through the back window as they drive off. He seems to always be scared, never having a break from it, and he doesn't deserve that. His father should have been enough of a struggle in his life. Now all of this is added to his plate...it's not fair to him to continually have more problems pile up on him unexpectedly.

Within seconds, Scott runs out of the building, finding Derek and I immediately and with enough time to see Isaac for himself.

Scott strides over to us, fully prepared to start his questioning. Which he did.

After wasting more time than needed, Derek finally convinced Scott into getting inside his car so we could make our way to Isaac's house. I can't piece together why we're taking an excursion to Isaac's home while he is locked inside a cell and could wolf-out any given moment, though. Isaac isn't the type to kill, but he can if we don't break him out soon. And that is exactly what we should be doing instead of searching his basement. Nothing in this house can be worse than what will happen if we don't get Isaac out of his holding cell.

Walking down the stairs behind Derek, we stalk up behind Scott who stands in front of a deep freezer with a lock on it.

Derek then flashes his light on it which causes Scott to jump, "Open it."
