Looking back at Isaac, he watches the cops, too. And the look in his eyes tell me he knows they are here for him too.
"Don't tell them. Please, don't tell them," he begs Scott, just like he begged me to not tell anyone about his father the night I met him. As they stare at each other, the sheriff moves closer, asking to have a word with Isaac.
I listen in on the conversation as they tell him about his father and that they need to take him in for questioning. That's all the sheriff says before walking him off the field and away from the crowd that formed moments ago to see what the disturbance from practice was.
Derek must not have been helpful to Isaac in any way if the police are just now deciding to talk to him about his father.
Pulling out my phone, I shoot a text to Derek informing him on the situation at hand and look back up at Isaac who's already staring at me. "Don't worry, we'll fix this," I whisper to him and he gives me a slight nod as the police escort him away.

The whole school was gossiping about Isaac and the death of his father by third period, which I'm currently in. Everyone was whispering about Isaac being the one to kill his father before Mr. Harris came in demanding silence. Not that Scott or Stiles listened to him.
The only reason I'm still at school is because they hadn't taken Isaac to the police station yet and I am still keeping an eye on Jackass, who decided to not show up for class.
"Why would Derek chose Isaac?" I overhear Scott ask Stiles, purposfully listening in on there conversation.
"Peter told me that if the bite doesn't turn you, it could kill you. Maybe teenagers have a better chance at surviving?" Stiles answers back, which makes sense since teenagers have a healthier metabolism giving them a higher chance at surviving.
"Doesn't being a teenager mean your dad can't hold them?"
"Not unless they have solid evidence. Or a witness. Wait," Stiles says as a thought occurs to him and he spastically twists in his chair to turn around and face Danny, Jackson's best friend and former lab partner. "Danny, where's Jackson?" he whisper-shouts at him.
Danny shrugs, "Principles office, talking to your dad." So Jackson isn't ditching, he's being questioned by the police and that must be why Isaac is still here. But what information does Jackson have that the police need?
"What? Why?" Stiles asks surprised.
"Maybe 'cause he lives across the street from Isaac," Danny deadpans. Of course he does.
Stiles turns back around as Scott asks, "What next?"
"We gotta get to the principles office," he answers back trying to think of a way to get him and his friend there, but I have an idea of my own.
Jumping in on the conversation, I scoot my chair in between the two of them. "I think I have an idea," I tell them and before they can question me, I grab a piece of paper off of their table and crumble it into a ball.
"Everyone please turn to page seventy-three," Mr. Harris tells the class before I throw the crumbled-up piece of paper at the back of his head. Turning around, I can see the fire in his eyes as he searches for the person held responsible.
"Who in the hell did that?" He asks sternly.
I point at Stiles and Scott as they both point back at me with slack jaws. Harris seethes as he yells for us to go straight to the principles office.
The two boys and I quickly make our way to the destination we are ordered to go and listen in on sheriff Stilinski and Jackson's conversation.
On the way down here, Stiles kept questioning me about 'who I was' and 'how I knew of Isaac and Jackson,' but I just pulled a Derek and ignored him. He doesn't need to know my business.
