Sometimes, it was times like these when Lucas hated sharing a room Jace.
Lucas walked down the dark hallway, even though he had walked it a thousand times in the day, he still jumped when his arm brushed the wall. He continued to make his way down the hallway until he came to a wooden door. He opened it, walked inside, and shut it behind him as quietly as he could. He walked over to his side of the bed and put his shoes down. Suddenly a light came on in the room, making him jump. Lucas looked into find a boy with wavy golden hair and dark golden eyes was looking at him. He had turned on the lamp on the side of his bed.
"Where have you been?" the golden haired boy asked.
This was exactly why Lucas hated Jace, he's always in everyone's business.
"I went out," he replied, taking off his shirt and looking in his drawer for his favorite shirt. He sighed in frustration.
"Where's my black shirt?" he asked with annoyance in his voice. He hated when people touched his stuff.
"In the closet, where did you go?"
Lucas ignored him as he made his way to the closet. He turned on the light and pushed clothes out the way, until he found it. He pulled it out and walked out of the closet.
"I'm still waiting for an answer," the guy that was sitting on the edge of the bed tapped his fingers on his knees.
"Just because you're waiting doesn't mean I'm going to tell you," he said.
"Come on, you sneak out every four nights, then you come back and expect me not to say anything? Maryse is worried-"
"Which I completely don't understand why," he snapped as he walked over to his side of the room and looked in his dresser for his jeans.
He's not even her kid and she's worries about him. She has three other kids that she can worry about, he's not one of them. He don't even belong here and yet here he is. Sharing a room with a pretty good looking guy, which he's not complaining about, who thinks he's perfect. Training and talking with Isabelle and Alec, which is pretty fun. Especially when he gets to see Alec, which by the way is hot. Like really hot, like you could melt when he smiles, kind of hot. But that's not the point, the point is that he'll be leaving soon enough anyway, so why even bother with trying to get close to anyone. It'll just make leaving harder than it has to be.
"Well she treats you like a son," he replied. "I mean, why wouldn't she? You're like another brother to us."
He chuckled even though there was no humor behind it. "I'm not like you three."
"You have runes, you can call the angels names without cringing, and you can fight badass like one of us. I think that means that you are one of us."
Leave it to the pretty boy to figure out how to twist the conversation around. He looked at him.
"Where are my jeans?"
"Also in the closet, are you listening to what I'm telling you?"
He walked into the closet again and liked through the clothes. He found his pair of ripped jeans and took off his dirty pair. He wasn't really that shy about changing in front of people. He slid them on, hopping on one foot to keep his balance. He snapped the button to the jeans and walked out of the closet.
"I'm listening to what you are saying, but I'm not really focused on it." he replied honestly.
"Listen, all I'm trying to do is look after you."
"The last time I checked, I don't need anyone looking after me. I can take care of myself."
"Is that why you're here?"
Lucas shook his head in frustration. He was tired of dealing with this. He didn't have to explain himself to anyone, especially not a boy who thinks he's a god. He walked to the door and opened it.
"Where are you going now?"
"Do I need to tell you every little thing I do?!"
"Well it would be better if you would tell me where you've been going. What happened to brothers?"
"The last time I checked, I don't remember you ever being my brother, " he snapped before he walked out of the door and slammed it behind him.

Jace swung the stick through the air, he pretend to cut down an enemy. He continued to do that for who knows how long before Alec walked inside the training room. He walked inside and looked at him.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing," he said blocking a fake attack.
The blue eyed boy grabbed a stick and faced Jace. Jace understood what he meant and started circling him. The blue eyed boy aimed the stick at his head, jace brought the end of his stick up to block the attack.
"What's on your mind?"
"It's Lucas, I don't understand him," Jace replied knocking his stick aside.
"What do you mean?" he asked aiming the stick at his legs. Jace blocked the attack with the end of his stick and knocked it aside.
"I mean..... He's been sneaking out at night, he stays out for four nights and then he comes back. "
"Maybe he just needs some time, he needs someone to talk to. I mean I would be a little uncomfortable as well if I had to start living with a bunch of strangers. " Alec looked up to find Jace grinning at him.
"What?"
"Yes that would be great if someone could talk to him."
"Oh no I-i didn't mean me, I-I mean....."
"What is it?" Jace smirked at Alec who was blushing.
"N-nothing it's just that....i mean..... " he sighed in defeat. "Fine, I'll talk to him."
"Great, have fun, " Jace said handing his stick to Alec and walking out of the training room.
Alec sighed as he put the sticks away and walked out of the training room. He made his way down the hallway, in search of Lucas.
