Kat POV

There was a pack meeting tonight and just like the last time, I was required to go. I looked through my closet for something to wear. We were suppose to look nice and try to at least dress up for pack meetings but today, I just wasn't in the mood.

I pulled out my black leather jacket and black tank top to go with my light jeans and black combat boots. I didn't care if I was going to look as if I didn't belong because really, I didn't. Not anymore.

I took a quick shower and dried my hair before leaving the bathroom. I walked over to my curlers and turned them on so they could heat up while I got dressed.

When I was dressed,  I looked in the mirror to make sure everything was in place. I was shocked at the person in the reflection. I had to admit that after 7 months of pure hate and sadness, I was looking like my old self. Just a little.

My eyes didn't have that lifeless gray it had before, there was a spark added in them with a hint of color. My hair wasn't dull and lifeless. It was still jet black, which I was beginning to like, but it started to look healthy again and it was growing. Since I curled my hair with the curlers, it had volume and it wasn't brittle. My eyesight was getting a lot better. I didn't have to wear my glasses anymore so I was sure as hell happy about that.

And it was all because of Conner. He's bringing life back to me. A smile crept to my lips as I remembered our time together.

I looked at myself and fixed my jacket before I heard my bedroom door open.

"Your still not ready. You are the slowest person I've ever met. I'm sure Anna can get herself dressed faster than you." Ryan said leaning against the door frame. I turned my glare towards him then rolled my eyes.

You see, I still haven't gotten Ryan back for interrupting me and Conner so he was kind of on edge around me. He will always be around me when I'm cooking or something to make sure I don't put anything in his food. It was pretty funny watching him be paranoid when in reality I haven't even done anything. Yet.

"Shut up because I'm ready." I said grabbing my phone and my black wristlet. I watched as his eyes scanned over my outfit.

"You sure you want to wear that? This is a pack meeting." I rolled my eyes once again at him before sliding past him and out the door.

"Obviously I wouldn't have it on if I wasn't going to wear it. I could care less if it was a pack meeting, reunion, whatever. The pack doesn't respect me so why should I respect them."

"Good point." He opened the front door and waited for me to lock it before walking off the porch. "Come on little one, lets get this over with" He slid his arm around my shoulders as we walked to the car.

***At the pack meeting***

"Everyone please take your seats. I would like you all to welcome the Alpha and Luna to the stage." Blake's dad finished his little speech before Blake walked onto the stage. I sighed loudly as I slowly got up from my chair and made my way to the stage. I took the three stairs very slowly and sighed out loud once again when I got to the top. I went over and stood by my microphone stand as Blake started with the introductions.
