Three Wishes

What would you do if you were granted three wishes? What would you ask for? Would you ask for an eternal life? Money that would never runs off? To be worship by others like God? To be beautiful? What would you wish for? Tell me... I can help... I wouldn't say no to any of your requests. No matter how absurd they are because...

Who am I to say no, right?

You know, I've live for about five hundred years. I grant the wishes of human wherever I go. It taught me a lot about them, you see, the humans. Most of them that I've met used up their wishes for wealth, looks and for power. I never know why humans are so obsessed with money and beauty. I mean, I don't even have a fixed form but I never complain about it.

And for power? My, oh my, aren't human such a violent little thing. Hurting others to get whatever they want. Oh such a petty, petty little thing. But that was why I love them humans. They may look nice and act all friendly but the next day they could be plotting your death.

There was another thing that I love about human. And that is how selfless they can be sometimes. They are willing to sacrifice anything for the one the love, even their own life.

Let me take you back in time and tell you a story about a woman named Maude Miller. She was such a selfless woman. And the wish she wished was a very noble one too. If only she was a bit more specific about what she want.

Sigh.

She might had gotten her own happily ever after.
