So I decided to write a prologue because I felt that my book needed one and I will also post a rewrite of chapter 1 whenever I finish it. Thanks for reading and don't forget to vote!

A boy with long black hair lay curled in the corner of a cold, dark room. His face was hidden in his knees and his body trembled like a leaf in the wind.
The room was filled with the sound of strained and ragged breathing as the boy pulled his hair in a pained manner.
Tears decorated his hidden face as his mind plagued him.
"No, no, no, NO!" He shouted, his hoarse voice filling the echoing room as he quickly stood up. His slender fingers were constantly moving in a nervous motion, they pulled at his hair and scratched at his arms as he desperately tried to get his mind off of the topic that had caused the panic attack in the first place.
Thoughts ran races through his mind as the attack worsened. He wanted to scream in anguish and agony as the memories of his mother flashed through his mind.
The same thought kept playing over and over like a broken record.
Your fault.
Your fault.
YOUR FAULT.
His shoulders shook under the weight of his heavy sobs and his knees trembled, threatening to fail him at any moment.
The memories came crashing down on him like a stormy sea that that wished to sink his boat of false stability and mentality. His moms suicide, his diagnosis, it all overwhelmed him.
It felt like he was in the ocean without knowing how to swim while heavy rocks were bound to his ankles. Like the sandy beach was devoid of people to save him and his breaths had stopped coming.
His lungs contracted painfully as they frantically heaved for the precious oxygen that had been forced out of his lungs.
A part of him had wished that the air would never return, that he could fall into a blissful sleep and never have to worry about waking up again.
And as his legs failed him and he crashed to his knees, he smiled through his blurred vision.
The darkness seemed like a shaded cloud as it started to block his vision, covering his sight and reeling him into the fitful realm of unconsciousness.

Not too far away a boy with blond hair stared numbly as a mahogany coffin was lowered into the ground. His eyes glistened with unshed tears as he thought about his mother.
Her bright smile, her cinnamon scent, her soft hair, her bright blue eyes that had seemed so full of life all seemed to linger in the air like a sad picture.
Everything seemed to have dimmed a little and the air seemed heavier.
His father's gentle hand reassured him that everything would be fine, but would it?
His blue eyes darted through the numerous people that stood in mourning. They searched for a pair of dark green orbs but were fruitless in their search.
The boy's sandy eyebrows furrowed before his attention turned back to the coffin that now lay fully in the ground and he wondered why she had done it, why she had taken her own life.
Had life really been that depressing? He wished he could have helped her but she had never let him see her pain.
His thoughts disappeared when the hand on his shoulder squeezed lightly and turned him towards the path out of the cemetery.
As he walked, his father's soft voice reassured him.
"You know it wasn't your fault."
He simply nodded and sighed before stuffing his hands into the pockets of his tuxedo.
"I just want to know why."
His voice was full of pain as the revelation weighed on him. His father sighed before speaking.
"Don't we all, son, don't we all. It'll be okay."
Somehow, he managed to believe his father. Everything would be alright, or so he thought.
