The first day at Beacon Hills High was a complete embarrassment to Haneul and Kira Yukimura. In their first week of school, their father embarrassed them in front of their peers, by pointing out how bad their social skills were. They both suffered so it was okay, they suffered together. But that didn't matter, Kira and Haneul were thick as thieves, so they stuck together no matter what. So when Kira had asked Haneul to help her search about the Bardos for Scott, the guy she liked, he said yes- but I had taken forever to put together. Haneul loved Kira with all his heart and Kira loved him with hers, that would never change no matter what. When Scott saved the two from being coyote dinner, Haneul had no doubt on why he was Kira's crush.
Haneul and Kira would sit inside their dad's classroom as their father tried to reason why they should try and socialise again. They were far too awkward and shy to do that. When their father invited Scott over for dinner, Hanuel could see the connection between his sister and Scott. Kira walked outside to say goodbye to Scott, but when she didn't come back inside he worried. He walked outside to see where she was and blacked out. When he had woken up, he saw his sister tied up across from him. He thrashed in his chains and tried to get to his sister, even if he didn't make it out of this psychopath's plan, she should. He saw his sister had electrical glowing hands, which he knew there was a connection between this and the pictures he and his sister saw where each other with the mysterious auras.
He was there when his sister needed to delete the photos from her phone that Barron had taken of the both of them. Then when they went to the blacklight party where the masked men had attacked them, that was the night he found out about the supernatural beings that he would call his friends- oh and Stiles. The next day when Scott had brought his sister to the McCall home, the twins had brought him there, protecting him from the shadow men. They weren't doing it for his sake, they were mainly doing it for Scott. The masked men had tried to get to him and his sister and he was afraid, there was no denying it. When they finally had gotten the masked men to check if they weren't themselves, he was practically shitting himself. When it was over, he was freezing.
One night, he and his sister were sitting on her bed, studying, when a light had gone out and Kira went to unscrew the light. Kira called their mother as she pulled her hand back when the bulb blew, his sister looked at him with wide eyes. When their mother came in to replace the bulb they brushed off the accident. Haneul started to connect the pieces more and more from there.
He had helped Kira pick her outfit out for school to impress Scott. That day Derek had come and picked them both up and had taken them to the power station where the incident had happened. That very night he and his sister saved civilians from the rogue electrical wire at the hospital. This was the doing of a monster and Haneul had to know why.
Kira had signed Haneul up for the cross country, Kira had run ahead and had pushed Haneul to do so too. They both ran faster than the average human, which was pretty cool; until Coach Finstock had gotten shot in the chest with an arrow. Haneul didn't have a medical degree but he had been pretty sure that the arrow that had been shot at Coach was that only thing keeping him alive. He told everyone to not to touch the arrow and stay back. He was there with his sister when she had gone to the school to see his parents in their dad's classroom. Their mum was breaking these throwing knives of sorts. Kira and Haneul had picked up on what they were saying and they both hurried to where Scott and Stiles were. Scott, Kira, and Haneul all rushed Stiles to the clinic, where it was laced with wolfsbane, where, as Haneul had come to call him- Void Stiles had knocked Kira, then himself out.
His sister had told him about the katana she had found, so they both decided to try and learn a few things about wielding one. They both had caught on quite quickly, and when Kira went to show Scott, Haneul met up with Allison. They all tried to break into the armoured truck to get to the scroll and fight off Kincaid. When his father had been attacked by the Nogitsune, he and his mother had rushed to the school where Kira and Scott had come with the cure for their father's choking. There he was told 'wolves and foxes tend to not get along' from his mother, to which his father completed it with 'but allies, however unlikely, should be welcomed, especially in times of war'. Their mother had told them that Kira was a thunder kitsune, but his mother told him they weren't sure on what he was. After Kira fixed the katana their mother used to kill the Nogitsune many years ago, they went to go kill it.
When Scott and the rest of the group had Stiles- the Nogitsune, most of the wolves went rogue. Haneul had been with Kira and Allison when that happened. Together they worked together to fight off Aiden, Ethan, and Isaac to get them in a sane mind and he was there when Deaton came to get rid of the spirits control of the said boys. That night his mother taught he and his sister how to play 'Go'.
When Meredith appeared in his econ class he had helped get her to the pack with his sister. His father had brought him back to the house with his sister. There they learned that there was a Korean version of the game 'Go' called 'Baduk'. Their mother had placed her pieces in an aggressive placement, not referring to the Nogitsune but to herself. That's when they got the message to head to Eichen House. That is where they stood against their mother and that was the day he watched a friend die.
His mother had taken he, his sister and Stiles to their house to avoid being questioned that day. They had learned that they needed to keep the Nogitsune in a box made from the wood of the Nematon. They fought through the illusion and battled with all they had. He was there with his sister fighting off the Oni with a blade his mother gave him called the 'Soul Catcher'.
After the whole nightmare is when his world merged with another.
