Noble 6 had watched all of his fellow teammates die. Carter. Jorge. Kat. Emile. They are all gone, and died in front of him. If only he was faster, if only he was stronger, maybe, just maybe, their deaths could have been prevented. But he knows it's all his fault. He made a promise to Jorge when he sacrificed himself, that he would make it count and save Reach, but he didn't. And it's all his fault. Or so he thought.

The sounds of Phantoms alerted the Spartan, letting him know that another round of relentless enemies are close by. Checking his DMR, he only had 4 clips, including the one he had loaded, 2and 3 clips in his Magnum. His grenade belt was empty, but he had Emile's Kurki knife and his standard carbon fiber 5-inch blade still with him. The first waves of grunts unloaded, where Six conserved ammo for the real challenge that was going to inevitably follow suit. Using his knife, he slaughtered the grunts with little effort. However, more Phantoms arrived and Six found Elites slowly dropping. Using his DMR, he shot fast and precise shots at the Elites, killing them effectively.

However, more and more dropped, and Six heard the dreaded sound of his DMR firing the last shot. He only had his Magnum now. Soon, he was overwhelmed and had been pushed on the floor by the elites. He still put up a fight, elbowing and punching the elites to try and survive. 'This is it' He thought to himself, as he kicked one elite away then elbowed another. But soon both returned to their starting points. The Elite shouted throatily, enough to see down it's throat, but Six couldn't take advantage of that right now. As the elite raises his energy sword, Six closes his eyes, waiting for the sharp pain. 'I deserve this' He thought. 'It should have been me to die, not any one of them. I have failed them ALL' . But instead of dying, like he expected, he hears gunfire. Gunfire from Human weapons. And the unmistakable sound of a Sniper Rifle. The elites around Six divert their attention to the gunfire, allowing Six to take advantage and get up, and then sprint towards the human gunfire. He heard the elites shouting behind him, but he had no time to look back. He looked around for any sign of UNSC forces, and spotted a pelican not to far away from where he was.

Six sprinted by the Pelican where there were marines firing. One looks over, surprised. "Another Spartan?! Din't think we'd find another one of you still on the planet!" Six was surprised by this. "What do you mean 'another one of you'?" Six replied, curious. " We just picked up a Spartan earlier, he's in the pelican. Pack up your shit Lieutenant, we're leaving" Six, still curious, enters the pelican, where he sees Jun. This leaves Six shocked. He thought for sure that Jun was dead!

"Jun!" Six shouted. Jun looked up, surprise on his face as he sees Six "Six?" Six replied by saying "Holy shit, I thought you were dead Jun..." "Vise versa Six" he replied grinning. "You look like shit" he says to Six. Six had quite the bit of damage on him. A half broken visor, multiple plasma wounds, stab wounds, and the list goes on. The pain is eating him away but he has to deal with it. 'Its what I deserve' He thought to himself. "I feel like shit too" he responded. "Where are Carter and Emile?" Jun questioned. Six looks down in sadness and guilt. "I... They didn't make it..." Six says. He grabs the dog tags from around his neck, all he had left of Noble team except Kat's Magnum and Emile's Kurki knife. "I'm sorry Jun" he says, holding them in his left hand. "What for?" he replied. "It's my fault that they are dead. I... I wasn't good enough..." "Don't blame yourself Six" He replies seriously. "I could have got them out of there..." "If you could have, they would be here right now" he countered.

Before Six could reply, the marines boarded the Pelican, and within 10 seconds, they were airborne.
