It was early in the year when Zara's mum, Laura, had told her about her new boyfriend,
"his name's James " she explained,
" what is he like? " asked Zara.
"Well, he lives in the city, in a nice house." Said Laura
"What else? "
"He is ever so kind and has two daughters!"
"Really?!" Excitedly asked Zara "how old?"
"Ones 14 and the others 12," described Her mum, the thought of two new friends and possible sisters exited the 11 year old.
"You can meet them soon, but first you can meet James."
A month later.
A knock at the door was heard and was soon followed with Laura stepping down the stairs in her nice, sparkly top, It fit her curvy shape perfectly. She opened the door to greet him with a peck on the lips. James shuffled in through the narrow corridor to greet Zara with a smile,
"Hi I'm James, nice to meet you" reaching out his hand to shake Zara's.
"Hi I'm Zara. " she said sheepishly, shaking his hand. He had a lumberjack style plaid on with a matte bald head, with a newly shaved face which had the bluest of eyes. The evening was chatty, everyone in the house greeted him with a smile painted on their faces while he shook their hands respectfully. He only stayed for the evening, but it felt like a whole day to Zara. He finally left with a smile and another peck on the lips and zoomed off in his car. After that, Zara knew there would be around for quite some time.
