Avitus knocked on the door to my apartment. "Hey." I opened the door. "Hey."
I let him in. "So tomorrow's the dance." He paused. "It's annoying I know, But let's go."
I crossed my arms. "Not a chance."
"Let me know you again-" He pleads, but I cut him off.
"Not right now." I say, turning away.
"Ok, when?" Avitus asked immediately. "Say wait, and I'll wait.."
"Its already to late." I tell him. "There's no way its too late!" He countered
"Hey.." I say, turning around. But he won't listen. "Hey!" I said louder. He keeps rambling on.
"Just shut up and listen!" I scream, tears brewing in my eyes.
I see small tears in his eyes too. "Why do I get denied?" He asked in a small voice.
"You remind me of me," I started. "And how fucked up.. I can be.." I went and sat on my couch, trying not to cry.
I hear Avitus sigh. "Okay. Hey. Let's start over, clean slate." He says, walking over to me. "I'll come by here at eight." I smile shaking my head.
"If you show, then we'll go." Avitus smiles himself at the thought. "If you don't, then we'll see." He declares, heading towards the door.
"You just don't give up." I chuckle, moving hair out of my face.
"So don't give up on me." He smiled, opening the door.
"Goodbye, Avitus." I waved.
"Goodbye, Lacie." With that he was gone.
