"Gooooaaal..!!"
Nanalo kami ng team ko ng Trophy in the 2016 Philippine Ice Hockey Tournament (PIHT). As a player (Forward) it's not that easy.
Competing against other team and winning the Gold means you did your best, and all your hard work and trainings are payin' off.
"Congratulations anak!"
My Mom is my no. 1 supporter. She's always there to cheer for me, and my team in every competitions. My Mom and I are very close. Para lang kaming magkapatid. Haha.
"Let's go celebrate!" sigaw ng team mate ko.
Before the competition, lahat kami seryoso sa training. We don't have time to chill.
But now is the right time to do it. Haha.
Ice Hockey is not well knowned here in the Philippines, because it's a Tropical country, we don't have winter here.
Philippine Hockey Team will be competing at the 2017 Asian Winter Games in Sapporo, Japan and 2017 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Competing in International competitions will be a stepping stone in promoting Ice Hockey here in the Philippines.
"Hi LR, can we take a picture?"
"Sure. Haha."
"Thank you! Congratulations ah! Uhm.. If you don't mind me asking, do you have a girlfriend?"
"Haha. Well.. I currently don't have a girlfriend. Haha. I'm focused in hockey right now."
"Sayang naman good looks mo kung wala kang girlfriend."
"Haha. Sige, Thank you."
Girlfriend... Hell no! And then what? Iiwan ka lang ulit? It's better to focus myself na lang sa sports ko than to enter a relationship.
I kept my self busy simula nung nag break kami ng huli kong girlfriend. I've been doing Wakeboarding, Triathlon, and Hockey. Naka tulong yun sa pag move on ko.
"Relationship?" Haha. Not now.
Angeli's POV
"Wednesday 5pm tayo okay?"
"Yes coach! See you po."
"Sige ingat sa pag uwi ha! And welcome back."
It's Monday today, and i just finished my skating lessons, but as usual, I don't go home yet. I kept on practicing. 3-4 hours, more of practice.
Hindi pa ako "Pro" okay? Haha. I just started lang ulit. I was too busy sa school that i can't skate and study at the same time.
That's why right after graduation, I enrolled again. Right now I'm currently enrolled in a Beta level, but the first thing we did was refreshing. Nakalimutan ko na kasi Haha. The most painful part of it ay ang stretching. Gahd! After 7 months, ngayon lang ako nakapag stretch ulit Haha.
I really love the feeling of gliding on ice. Nakaka relax.
I missed my second home.. Before kasi halos araw araw nandito ako. But when the semester started, I don't have time na.
"Ow, nagdadatingan na yung mga hockey player? Anong oras na- Shocks!! 8:45pm na pala!" I have to go home na.
After taking off my boots, I started cooling down. This is also important.
I packed my bags and walked towards the exit when I noticed a Hockey player.
Magkasalubong kami kaya pansin ko talaga siya. He's looking at me...?
Nung nakalagpas na siya, I looked back. 80.. Hockey player no. 80.
I didn't even bother anymore because I really need to go home. I was rushing that I accidentally bumped into someone.
"Sorry." But I didn't look at him.
"Nako sana naman wag ako matraffic." *car engine*
At home, I'm really curious dun sa hockey player no. 80.
Kilala niya ba ako?
"Hay.. Sayang hindi ko manlang na basa yung surname ng jersey niya."
