Flowers.
The flowers were always beautiful during the spring, especially in the small village like this one. This is a story that takes place a long time ago, in a small village named Himiwari-Mura (Sunflower Momura). Even before technology was made. This village was quiet, and rarely noticed. The population was very small, but people loved their home either way.
The rays of heat warming the days. Children waking, and getting ready to play games. Every child was playing with each other. Except-
Madison was watering the flowers with a small bucket. She put a straw bowl she made over the bucket, so the plants wouldn't be over watered. Then she put the bucket and straw bowl down and grabbed a pot. She ran to the sunflowers by the kitchen window, where she waved "hello" to her mother. She put on her gloves and carefully grabbed the dirt from underneath one sunflower, and put it in the pot. She was amused by what she had done and grabbed the bucket and straw bowl to water the plant.
"Perfect," she said.
She then went inside to greet her mother.
Her mother was beautiful. She had the average size of a woman with long sandy blonde hair and brown hazel eyes with short bangs. When she smiled, the whole room would light up. Including everyone's day.
Her mother, Amy, saw her run inside from the window, where she was washing the dishes.
Madison came inside with one of the biggest smiles.
"Mama! I made this for you!"
She handed her the sunflower.
"This is gorgeous Madison!"
She took the pot and put it on the window edge.
"Now I can see it everyday."
She gave a small, worried smile, and dried her hands, then patted the top of her daughters head.
"Thank you."
Madison could tell her mother was hiding something. It was written all over her face. She never looked so worried before. Madison grabbed her mother's hand.
"Mama, What is the matter?"
"Nothing you need to worry about. Now get dressed, we're going to the market for some food."

Madison loved going to the market with her mother. As a matter of fact, she loved doing anything with her mother. She held her hand as they walked through the area searching for food to cook for the night. "Madison, go find the peppers please, they should be over there by the vegetables. I'm going to find some milk." Her mother said. Madison hurried to obey. As she walked over to the vegetable isle, multiple women would gossip and speak about Madison's mother.
"I've heard that she's a slut. She slept with some married man."
"Whose?" The other would asked shocked.
"Does it matter?" The third would say. "She slept with a married man for money and not only that, she had a child with one of the married men."
"Holy sh*t! I heard about that too! Didn't he try to tell her to get an abortion?"
"Did she?" One of the ladies asked. They look over at Madison, who had been eavesdropping on the conversation. She quickly grabs the pepper and runs away back to her mother.
"Take a guess..." one lady says under her breath.
This wasn't the first time Madison heard about her mother being a so called "prostitute." It was quite funny because she didn't even know what the word meant, but she never bothered to ask her mother. It was probably guilt that filled her mind.
She saw her mother in the distance, people were crowded around her so it was hard to see her all the way. She started running towards her but then saw a man and stopped. She looked at the two laughing and talking and looked back behind her at the women surrounding the area. All gossiping. The rumors and words and eyes and whispers, almost made this seven year old child go crazy. She screamed in the middle of the market place. It seemed you could hear her from miles away.
