"So you are Caroline...Joss?" Stuart, the hiring manager, asked me.

"Um, yeah, but I usually go by Carly," I replied.

"So Carly, you probably know how big of a deal it is to work at The Freeze Bar." He stated.

"Of course, it is only the most popular choice of frozen treats for all ages," I recited the lines I rehearsed for this interview.

"What do you think you can offer in this position?"

"I would consider myself a very confident person," I explained, "And I feel that I would easily be able to communicate with other workers and the customers."

"I like your spunk Carly Joss," Stuart complimented. "You're hired."

"Really? Thank you so much!" I said thankful but calm and collected at the same time.
Afterward he set me up with my uniform and a trainer. My trainer was actual my good friend Oliver. He is a senior at my school, Litwink High. I also know another girl named Izzy. She's a sophomore like me but she's way more popular. Though she is nice and is sort of friends with me.

Stuart got me through orientation and then Olly (Oliver) would be training me tomorrow.

I was getting more strawberries from the back when I saw someone familiar.

"Oh, hey" He called me out, "It's Carly right?"

"Um, yeah, how did you know?" I wondered.

"Seen you around at school obviously," he smiled. He was so polite.

"I didn't think you even knew who I was.." I said shyly, "But yeah, I just started working here."

"Well I wish you good luck," he smiled as he went to go serve a customer. Alex Rossman knows who I am. One of the most popular seniors at Litwink High knows my name. Not to mention he's pretty goddamn gorgeous too.

~

I'm not very popular at Litwink High, but I'm definitely no loser either. I love my friends and most people actual know me. But I'm in the halls and what I'm about to do makes me incredibly nervous
