I awoke in a small room. The room was cold, and poorly lit. It was somewhat reminiscent of an old Midwestern basement. I quickly discovered that I had been restrained. It was strange, I couldn't recall how I had gotten here. In fact, I couldn't recall much of anything. Had I been abducted? Was I simply insane? A million thoughts raced through my mind, trying to come up with some rational explanation of how I could've possibly ended up in this situation, but yet the more I tried, the further away I seemed to get from any explanation, my mind seemed to wander.

Was this a nightmare? It was somewhat reminiscent of a nightmare because of the obscurity of the situation. It wasn't a perfect explanation, but it was by far the best explanation I had come up with so far. While I was awaiting something to happen, I heard the slightest sound of talking in the distance. Was I underground? Wait...how did I come to that assumption? This just kept getting stranger. Something was very wrong with this situation. But what was it?

Then, a man entered the room, he was holding a clipboard. He appeared to be taking notes as he walked into the room. This was an interesting addition to the situation. Then, he undid the restraints under which I had been placed into this chair, and handcuffed me. "You know...I really thought that the last group was going to get better.", he said. He took me to another room. There was a steel table, which had been bolted to the ground. On each side of this table was a chair. This was reminiscent of an investigation room similar to the ones on television shows. It had poor florescent lighting, and everything was industrial steel. The steel was frigid against my skin. It was quite cold down here. But why was that? Still, I continued to search for clues.

After a few minutes of waiting, a man entered. The other man that had taken me to this room left after this other man arrived. The man sat down at the chair on the other side of the table. "So, do you know where you are?", he asked. "No, of course not. How would I know that?" I replied, somewhat frustrated. He didn't reply. "Where do you see yourself in five years?" he asked. I was unsure of how to reply to that question. "Well, I've always been interested in computers." I replied. He pulled out a notebook, and started writing things down. Among them, my interest in computers. It was almost like he was interviewing me.

Then, another man entered the room. This man was dressed in a suit. A strange man indeed. What was the significance of these men? I didn't know. The man in the suit walked behind the man apparently interrogating me, pulled out a silenced pistol, and shot the interrogator in the back of the head. I didn't know what to think anymore. This turn of events had thrown away any fathomable explanation. "Do you know who I am?", he asked. I had no idea who this man could possibly be. "No.", I replied. "It's worse than I thought. I'm here to get you out of here in one piece.", he said. He undid the handcuffs. "Let's go.", he said. I followed him out of the room into the dark hallway. I was underground. This was an underground tunnel.

We eventually made it to the surface. This was definitely foreign land. I had no idea where we were. He called a number using a cellphone. "It's done.", he said. Then, he hung up the phone. "Wait here, my friend. They will be here soon.", he said. I just nodded. I didn't know who these mysterious people which he referred to as "they" were. Is this some kind of really complicated dream? I just couldn't even begin to understand this situation.

Then, a helicopter arrived and landed. Then a man got out, surrounded by a few soldiers. He walked over to me, and said, "It's been a long time, old friend.". He was wearing a suit. But he also had a necklace with a silver cross. I immediately recognized this. But from where? This was another thing that I didn't know.

"Do you know where you are?", he asked. I had no idea. "No.", I replied. He seemed kind of surprised. "Well, I guess you wouldn't recognize this place. But you always said you wanted to visit here someday.", he said. Then I realized what it was. This was the first thing I had remembered yet. I was in Mexico. But a question still remained? Why? "Why am I here?" I asked. He waited for a second, then he said, "You were...captured. They seem to have given you a powerful drug that causes a short-term loss of nearly all memories, so that they can interrogate you.". "So, I'll get my memories back?" I asked. "Yes, just give it a few hours.", he replied. Just then, I collapsed. Everything went dark.
