Your knees felt weak, and your heart felt heavy as you anxiously stood outside of room 14, which would soon be your new classroom. You just transferred schools because of moving from your hometown to the city, and today was your first day. And you weren't looking forward to it at all. You really didn't want to meet your new classmates, because, to put it simply, you hated humans. At least most of them. People put themselves over others because they are stronger or put more makeup on, because they came from a better family or they wore the best clothes. That was disgusting to you. People were disgusting to you.

The heavy beige door to your right opened and your class teacher, Mrs. Lee, now stood in it's doorframe, gently smiling at you. She had short, grey-brownish hair and was in her mid 50's. Her glasses were thin with a metal frame, and she wore a flower blouse with a long skirt. She seemed to be nice, although you knew that she could be just as strict as any other teacher that wants to.

"You can come in now, (y/n). " She held the door open for you to go in. You plugged your hair behind your ear and went in, trying not to fiddle around too much with your skirt or your hands. You wanted everyone to know that you didn't want to be here, and yet seem cool.

The way to the front of the class seemed endless. You didn't dare to look at the other students, that would just make you more nervous than you already were. You felt their stares anyways.

When you finally arrived at the blackboard, you turned around to face everyone. Some of the girls were smiling at you, which made you feel at least a little bit more comfortable, others were looking outside the windows. You noticed a few of the boys nudging each other and then snickering. Trying to ignore it, you formed a simple sentence in your head and then began to speak.

"Hello, my name is (y/n), nice to meet you. I just moved here a few days ago, that's why I transferred schools." When you looked around, you noticed a boy sitting near the window staring at you. He had light brown, messy hair with a slight gray undertone. His locks were falling down into his face, and they almost started to cover his eyes. Almost. He looked at you with his lips slightly parted, hands folded on the table. He was , in fact, pretty handsome, you thought to yourself. When the two of you made eye contact, he looked down on the table.

Cute.

"Okay (y/n), please sit down on one of the empty chairs, thank you." Not being sure where to sit, you slowly made your way to the table the mysterious boy was sitting at. You didn't sit next to him, but a girl on the other end, so that there were about two seats between the two of you. As you sat down, you placed your backpack underneath the table and started getting all your stationery out. You noticed a hand in the corner of your eye, so you turned around to see the girl looking at you and smiling, her hand reaching out to greet you.

"Hey, I'm Nicole." You looked at her kind of shocked, not expecting for someone actually wanting to talk to you, but then smiled a little, took her hand and shook it before letting go again. "I'm (y/n), but I think you already know." You turned around again to get your papers out, and then placing them onto the table. Nicole didn't even bother to take out anything except for her pencil case, so she just looked past you into the direction of the boy.

"He's so checking you out."

Startled by her assertion, you looked at her confused. "What?"

"Taehyung. Kim Taehyung. He's quite the loner, you know, but a hot one." You turned your head in his direction aswell now, and caught him staring at you. He quickly looked away, getting his school supplies out. When you turned around to Nicole, she smirked at you.

"He never ever shows interest in anybody. Feel fucking honored."

"Oh," was everything you could answer before Mrs. Lee started the lesson. The subject was history, something you were pretty ok with, since all you had to do was to remember stuff, so it wasn't that much of a difficulty for you. You tried to take some notes, but from time to time, you looked at the boy who now had a name, Taehyung, and always saw him already eyeing you up and down. Just before the lessons ended and you saw him staring at you again, you simply smiled at him, and he actally smiled back , which caused you to blush a little.

A few minutes later, the ringing of the schoolbell announced the official end of the lesson, even though 90% of the students were already done with the lesson 10 minutes into it. Nicole and you stood up, packed your things and walked outside of your classroom. The next subject would be maths, and you had to go to room 31. Since you didn't know anything about the new school, not to mention the location of the different rooms, you just stood there being a little bit confused.

"Dude, did you really think I would leave you alone between all these douchebags and assholes? Of course not, now come on!" Nicole grabbed your arm and dragged you into the hallway next to the one room 14 was in. This one was a lot more empty, which you didn't mind at all. When you arrived at your destination, you saw a few of your classmates already there, at least the ones you remebered the face of. You noticed Taehyung standing in the corner, not speaking to anyone, but he didn't seem to have noticed you yet.

"Does that Taehyung guy have any friends at all?", you whispered to Nicole.

"Yeah, he actually does. Not a lot, but he knows a few people from other classes and grades. But most of the time, he spends time on his own, only speaking to us when he has to. He isn't mean or anything, but- hey, are you even listening? Man, you keep on staring at him. Stop it, that's creepy. I know he's handsome, but come on." You simply shook your head and chuckled.

"I'm sorry, I was just lost in thoughts. Anyways, thanks a lot for caring about me Nicole. It's really hard to find new friends, especially in a society full of dumbasses."

"No problem, kiddo, I'm going to introduce you to some friends later. They are really nice, you'll like them." You were about to thank her for her kind behaviour, because you honestly didn't expect to make a friend that fast, but you already saw an older man with a blue shirt and dark brown hair arrive. You just assumed that was your maths teacher. He opened the door for all of you and you went in, sitting next to Nicole in the middle of the classroom. A few boys, of which you recall at least 2 being some of the boys that had been snickering at you, sat down next to her, and she looked seemingly annoyed.

Maybe this lesson wasn't going to be as easy as the last one, but you didn't really mind. It was your first school day, there weren't a lot of things that could go wrong, right?
