Hey readers!! If you're reading this, I just want to thank you for giving my book a chance. Do enjoy reading!!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I landed on my feet after completing a perfect 360 in the air. The place was deafening considering the fact that it was underground, there were hoards of people and the DJ's music was blasting full on. It's been a part of my past ever since I was 13, ever since —

"Hey! Cat!!" I turned around to meet the owner of the annoying voice. How dare he interrupt my self-intro moment? I turned around to meet the owner of the annoying voice. Dustin's sweaty face blocked my view.

"My girl! That was kickass show you put out there. You know that many are interested right? You should really join the battles, ya know? Ever since your b—"

"Don't! go there...I'll talk to you some other time about this. I gotta go."

Shooting a thumbs up in his direction, I made my way out of there.
'Pista de Baile' had been famous for its dance battles since the 1980s.
It was a place that didn't give a poop (yeah, I don't swear) about the real you.
You just had to bring out the dancer in you and everyone was pleased.
Or...it may be just the fact that my socializing skills were nil when it came to these events.
They called me the mysterious Cat. Its better my identity stays a mystery. These people knowing about me would be chaos.
I shared a penthouse with my best friend Mellisa in New York.
Oh God!! Speaking of Mel...I'm royally screwed. I'd told her I would be back by midnight and it was past 1am.
I quickly made my way to my baby, a Harley I bought for myself a year ago. I wouldn't have got that chance if my parents were around but ever since....no I can't go there now.
Clearing my head I started the engine and tried to ride as fast as was permitted. The last thing I needed now was a speeding ticket from some bored cop.

--------------------------------------

I stood in front of my penthouse door trying to gather my courage that somehow disappeared on my way up here leaving me to face my best friend alone.
Did I mention that she was scary ? Well, I'm mentioning it now...she's terrifying when she's worried and sleep deprived.
It would do all those in our building and me specially a favour, if she was not disturbed from her hibernation.
For the millionth time I chastised myself for not taking my spare key with me.
I was not supposed to spend more than two hours dancing but doing it made me lose track of time and now I'm in this sticky situation.
Finally deciding to knock, I raised my hand to knock, when the door was thrown open.
