usnavi and sonny

"aye sonny!" usnavi exclaimed, hopping over his cousins new, battery-operated car. "watch it!"

instead, sonny just giggled and kept chasing him around with the remote-controlled car. his uncontrollable giggling stopped when abuela claudia put her foot down, literally. he watched his toy struggle to escape under her shoe.

"take it outside mijo," she instructed.

sonny obeyed and picked up his car. he made his way out of their cozy apartment in washington heights and sat on the stoop. he watched his car zoom up and down the sidewalk, occasionally hitting the neighbors' heels.

he felt a tap on his shoulder. muscles tensed and ready to fight sonny turned around only to see usnavi.

"oh hey cuz," he said.

"wanna come down to the bodega with me?" usnavi asked. "i've gotta work a shift."

sonny nodded and picked up his car, skipping behind his older cousin the whole way. once they got there, he hid between two shelves with his car at his feet. usnavi gave him a questioning look, but shrugged and took his place on the stool behind the counter.

when sonny heard the bell ding he slowly moved the car towards whoever had walked in. positioning the car behind their trudging feet he quickly sped up at crashed right into their heels- causing them to trip and fall onto sonny's car.

"what the hell?" the person, who they realized was benny, yelled.

his car was broken, but benny's reaction was priceless. sonny un-wedged himself from his hiding place.

"oops," he said with an evil smirk.
