Chapter 1.

The insistent buzzing of her alarm clock thrown onto the floor beside her bed wakes the girl from her sleep, groaning in agitation as her head throbs from another late night of reading and watching anime. She stretches the pair of lazy arms above her head in order to remove some of the tension that has been building up from the awkward positioning she always end up rolling over into while her sleep is delayed down to four hours instead of the normal human requirement of eight hours.

"Why is school a thing, let me sleep world" she grumbles anxiously to herself, throwing the wobbly legs over the side of her bed and placing her feet onto the floor cautiously, not wanting to fall flat on her face by rushing, inching her behind off of the bed and placing all of the weight from her small frame onto her unsteady legs, a feeling of drowsiness flashes through her mind before slipping forward, only just managing to right herself with both hands placed on the top of her chest of drawers, less than a metre away from the edge of her bed, which resides in a small storage closet in her grandparents home.

Making sure her weight is capable of being supported, she steadily moves her hands away from the chest, testing her body's ability to support itself without assistance from the clustered furniture, nodding her head once before grabbing her daily necessities, clothes, underwear especially, hygiene utensils, hairbrush and her medication, she stumbles out of the room and into the bathroom across the hall, knowing that nobody else will be greeting her this early in the morning, everyone else still passed out in their rooms from their previous nightly activities, god knows what they get up to when they leave the house, the girl couldn't care less in all honesty, she does her thing, they do theirs, it's how it has always been, a never ending routine for the tight knit young girl.

"Please have some warm water left over" she inwardly prays to herself, stepping into the small bathroom and setting all of her clothing into the sink, slowly removing the long t-shirt and shorts she wears to bed, turning the tap in the shower on and letting the cold water beat down onto her pale skin. The prayer she uttered to nobody in particular, however, goes unheard, as the water does not make any effort to heat up her shivering form. Grumbling more to herself in displeasure, the girl makes do with the cold water, washing every inch of her body before shampooing her unnatural blue hair, running her fingers through it in an attempt to get rid of some of the tangles from the tossing and turning in her bed, failing miserably.

"Why does it have to be so annoying, it's unfair" she pouts, hugging herself in an attempt to warm herself up with her arms, turning the tap off after making sure she is clean, shaking her head to rid herself of the droplets in her face, grabbing an undersized towel and patting herself dry, standing in front of the mirror to look into the reflection that greets her, the same reflection she has seen for the past three years, a lonely, recluse with slightly bloodshot eyes, bags underneath them from lack of sleep, porcelain skin setting back against her rosy cheeks, emphasized by the coldness of her body, looking almost as untouched as a doll.

Shaking her head side to side to snap out of her trance, she grabs her hairbrush and starts to tend to her hair, holding back the memories of what pushed her into this state of repetition, every single day runs by and nothing changes.

"They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing day by day and expecting different results right? Maybe I am insane, maybe that why I continue to do this to myself" the girls murmurs thoughtfully to herself, talking completely to herself, from the outside looking in on this scene, it would probably be considered a very strange situation for someone standing naked in front of the sink to be doing.

Her hair finally in the style she likes, plain, she grabs her underclothes and starts dressing herself, a white hoody with nothing written on it, some black jean shorts that fit her nicely, not trying to make a statement, just trying to blend in, with white thigh high socks, covered by black converse. The girl stares in the mirror before biting her lip and deciding to go without makeup, her unblemished skin the envy of others, unknown to the girl. She heads back into her room, discarding her pyjamas in the washing machine and setting up a quick wash, knowing they will be there when she returns from school later on, grabbing her phone from the bedside table, checking for any messages, of course there are none, before she slides it into her pocket, grabbing her headphones and wrapping them loosely around her neck, plugging them in and playing some music through them to distract her wandering mind as she grabs her books bag and slouches down the stairs, to the kitchen, putting a piece of bread in the toaster and opening her lunchbox, preparing a small bag of cookies and half an orange for her lunch,
