Chapter 1: Pool Day

Ashleys POV

Today was the day of the field trip to the pool. I dont know how to swim but Taylor, Vanessa, and Claire convinced me to go.

Vanessa has been my best friend since little. After a while we all became super close that now I don't even see a difference between all of us. We've all always been close till Austin came along. Austin is Vanessa's boyfriend, I don't hate him or dislike him and neither do the other two but Vanessa barely talks to us as much as she use to.

Anyway I got my clothes ready and was walking out my apartment. So to sum up my conditions quickly. My parents died when I was little. I was taken in by my grandma with my bro. She died when I was 12 and I was then taken to social services where my brother was able to fight for custody of me and now I live in this apartment with him.

I got to school and was walking in as I saw Claire and Taylor talking.

" Hey" I said to them.

" You came" said Claire surprised.

" Ha! Told you so she is no chicken" said Taylor.

Taylor is a bit of a tomboy but she isn't gay. She sees a hot guy and will fawn over him for hours and not stop talking about him. Claire is a bit shy around others but with us she is a blabber mouth.

Claire then gave Taylor a dollar.

" Wait hold up, what's this about?" I asked them.

" Well we had a bet that I believe you wouldn't show up since you dont like deep pools." said Claire.

" And I said that it doesnt matter how deep you would show up for us. So we made a bet on it if I win, I got a dollar if she won, she got a dollar. We can clearly see who won" said Taylor.

As I was about to continue the conversation with the bet, Austin walked up to us.

" Hey guys" he said.

Austin was the perfect all American boy. Blond hair, blue eyes, and plays football. All the things you see in movies, just in real life.

" Hey Austin, where's Vanessa?" asked Taylor.

" Oh she was sick. She got the chicken pocks and said it wouldn't be a good idea to go to a pool. She wishes you guys though to have fun. Also that she will be better by Monday so you can then come over" he said.

" Thanks Austin for letting us know" I said to him as he waved and said goodbye.

  Then we heard the bus arrive and we ran to it.

" You ready to have the best day ever?" asked Taylor.

" Yeah" said me and Claire in unison as we ran to the bus.

The ride to the pool was really shortly. Like 20 minutes or so. In all that time Taylor, Claire, and me talked about stuff and what we where going to do at the pool. When we arrived we got pink wrist band bracelets and where let in. We placed are stuff in some chairs and began walking to the pool.

Claire divided in first while me and Taylor just walked in. We saw Claire jump out of the water.

" Cold. Its freaking cold" said Taylor as she wrapped her arms around herself.

We laughed at her as we slowly got use to the temperature.

We played and laughed for a while till it was lunch time and the pool got really full.

" Woah its really full now" said Claire.

" Wanna go eat before theres a line?" asked Taylor.

We both nodded as we got out of the pool and got dry. We ordered are food and Taylor waited in the crowded room to get it while me and Claire stood distantly. We where chatting and Taylor showed up with a tray. A bunch of kids ran past us and almost spilled the food.

" Hey watch it!" She screamed at them we giggled at her.

Then more kids ran and pushed me and Claire into the water. I took a deep breath as I fell into the water. I saw Claire swim up and I realized it wasn't five feet as I supposed and began to panic as I got deeper and depper into the water. I began to lose the air I had trapped in my lungs and I opened my mouth only to receive a full mouth of water. I began to feel myself leaving this earth and I just began to think about the people I would be leaving and how my brother would never forgive himself. I then felt water enter my lungs anf I knew I was done for. I reached the end of the floor and closed my eyes. Then everything went dark and I saw a light in the distance.
