11 years ago the King family moved in next door to me.There was Mrs. King; tall, blonde, total PTA mom. Mr. King; muscular, business man, drives a Porsche, makes some dough if you know what I mean. And their twin sons. Johnathan and Matthew. I'm not really sure how I would describe these two,but for now I guess I'll just tell you about that first week -  the Kings' moved in, was a living, breathing hell. ......Well hell for a 7 year old.

I woke up, swamped in my Littlest Pet Shop sheets, to a loud pounding coming from outside my window. I sat up and peered through my open window. There was a two giant moving trucks, one for furniture and one for appliances. I hopped out of bed to get a closer look and that pounding sound began to get on my second grade nerves. I stuck my head out the window and saw two blonde boys, most likely around my age. I did a double take.....they were twins. Not identical, but very similar. Both boys had big bright blue eyes. One boy had a thin narrow face and the others face was more wide. The two were bouncing a basketball back and forth to each other at the top of the driveway. Their mom and dad were directing the moving guys to and from their new house and the trucks, telling them what goes where and that if they dropped anything they would leave empty handed. This whole sight was a lot to take in my 7 year old brain. I ran down stairs where my mom was making coffee.

"Mom!" I yelled, speeding down the stairs like it was Christmas morning or something

"What honey, what?" my mom said, bending down to my level, resting a hand on my head

"Mrs.Miller's house is being robbed!" I yelled

"What are you talking about-" my mom paused, walking over to the kitchen window and gazing out, looking at our old neighbor Mrs. Miller's house. "ohhhh. Scarlet, Mrs. Miller moved. She moved down the street near Mr. Frank." my mom said putting her coffee down and turning on her bare heels to the front door. She opened it and reached for my hand.

I followed her out to our front porch. My mom plopped in her red rocking chair and picked my up and plopped me down on top of her. She rocked at a steady pace, humming a sweet song. The morning summer sun peaked through the trees as my mom and I gazed over our white picket fence at the moving scene.

Mr King spoke through a Bluetooth ear piece, yelling and then hanging up. He walked up the driveway to where the twins were playing.

"Listen here, boys." he said walking up to them and one hand on the each boy's shoulder

"Yes, Father?" they replied in perfect unison

"Now, I don't want you wasting your time with sports anymore. You're Kings, you don't waste time. You hear?" he said, gesturing his head to the basket ball

"Yes Father," one of the boys sighed, while the other one stayed silent

"Good. Now, run along." he said, the twins walking to their large home house, one still gripped the ball

"Jonathan," their father snapped, pointing to the ball in the boy's hand

"Sorry Father...." he said tossing the ball to his dad and resuming his exit from the driveway

Once the brothers had left, their father, Mr. king, thrust the basket ball behind him with an annoyed grunt. The ball flew over our fence and into our yard. I looked over to my mom, trying to convince her that we should get the ball.

"Oh, honey I don't think that's a good idea." My mom said, putting me down and walking to our front door.

"But Mom! Didn't you see! That man just threw their ball....he didn't even care!" I exclaimed, following my mom into the house
