“I’ll tell you later,” she mumbled.
“Okay, let’s go to KFC as long as it’s okay with you,” I
Told her.
“You do know that it’s okay for us to just go back to your
Aunt’s house to eat,” Kate asked.
“Why do you want to do that? I know that you’re tired,
But you need to eat some good food first.”
“Christian, I’m not that hungry,” she tried to protest.
“Kate, we’ll just order some stuff to go, then we can go back
To my Aunt Caren’s house to sleep, okay,” I asked her.
“Okay,” she relented.
Kate’s P.O.V.
Twenty minutes later we were back at Christian’s aunt’s
House eating what we had ordered at KFC. I wasn’t feeling
Very hungry so I had just ordered a single chicken breast with
Mashed potatoes. Christian had tried to protest that I needed to
Eat more, but I said that it was okay.
I could tell that he knew something was wrong, but I didn’t
Want to talk about it. In fact, I wasn’t even sure what was
Wrong.
“Are you okay,” Christian asked.
“I don’t know,” I sighed.
“What do you mean by that? Do you wanna talk about it?”
“I don’t know; I really don’t think that I need to talk
About anything,” I answered.
“You sure,” Christian asked.
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure,” I told him. He looked at me
Skeptically.
“You would tell me if you needed to talk about anything,
Right,” he finally asked.
“Yep,” I said.
“That’s really reassuring,” he said with a chuckle.
“I know,” I said as I grinned.
“You’re such a weirdo,” Christian said.
“I know,” I told him.
Christian’s P.O.V.
“Wow,” I said to Kate. Somehow she had gone from a
Weird sad mood to a happy mood within minutes.
“But that’s why you love me,” Kate told me while trying
Not to laugh too hard.
“How do you know that,” I asked.
“Oh, I have my ways,” she said.
“Oh really,” I asked.
“Yep,” she replied.
“We’ll see about that,” I told her while I started tickling her
Sides.
She glared at me, then said, “Don’t tickle me.”
“Why not,” I asked innocently.
“Because I said so,” she answered defiantly.
“You think you’re going to tell me what to do,” I asked, and
Kate nodded her head since she was laughing too hard to speak.
“Stop, please,” Kate was finally able to get out.
“What’s in it for me,” I asked playfully.
“I don’t know, but please stop,” she asked again.
“Okay, you win,” I said while I stopped tickling her.
“You, sir, are a mean soul,” Kate said in the best British
Accent she could conduct.
“You, madam, are a weirdo,” I mimicked her. She crossed
Her arms, and pretended to pout.
“You’re mean,” Kate said in her best little kid voice.
“Like I’ve said a thousand times before, you’re a weirdo,” I
Told her while chuckling.
“Fine, you win; I’m a weirdo,” Kate relented.
“You look tired,” I told her.
“I am tired,” Kate replied.
“How about you lie down and try to sleep,” I suggested.
“I will,” Kate said while snuggling into my chest. About
Ten minutes later, she was fast asleep.
