The fan spun overhead at a slow and steady pace, stirring the heat around my room instead of relieving it. Well, not my room but the room I had been co-inhabiting the past week. Twenty one. I had been kicked out of my parents house. Another millennial who didn't fly the nest, who didn't know what they wanted, and two poor parental units stuck forcing them out.
I didn't have much to show for twenty one. Working at a local consignment store, living paycheck to paycheck. Paying few bills and spending the majority of my money on weed and other things I didn't need. My parents saw me drowning, didn't know how to save their adult daughter who shouldn't need saving anymore. It wasn't their fault, it was mine.
Anyone else out there ever feel so stuck your not sure if you'll ever get unstuck?
Me too.
