It was a stormy day in Johto. Sakura looked outside, and hearing the clash of thunder, hid under her covers. She was a 5 year old girl who lives in the past, over 100 years ago! Sakura hugged her hoppip doll. Her parents had told her that it sends evil spirits away. She had always wanted to play with a real hoppip, but whenever she got close to them, they would fly away. "I wish you were real, hoppip. Then you could make the sky blue again and it wouldn't rain!" Sakura whispered to the hoppip. "Sakura, come down and eat your dinner." Her mom said, climbing into Sakura's loft. "Ok." Once she got to the table, a loud thunder made the walls shudder. "Mommy I'm scared! When will Daddy be come?" "He's almost done with building the tower, he will be home soon." Then, another flash appeared outside. The thunder's boom was louder then before. Sakura ran to the window. "Mommy!! One of the towers is on fire!!" Large flames erupted from one of the towers, not being extinguished by the heavy rain. Everyone ran out into the street in front of the burning tower, watching in horror as wood fell to the ground. Sakura thought she saw a person, too. Not wanting to watch, she put her hands over her eyes. "The three eevee! I think they are still in the tower!" Someone yelled. "Eevee?" Asked Sakura. "Yes, they used to visit the tower every night. No one could get near them or they would run away, but they wish to do no harm. Some in the town place food out for them everyday!" "Oh no! I hope the eevee can got out!" Sakura watched the tower, looking for the eevee, and maybe her father. "I hope he can escape..." her mom whispered. Suddenly, a hole opened up in the clouds, exposing sunlight that lit up the land. Out of the sunlight flew a huge rainbow bird. Everyone was in shock. "Ho-oh!" People murmured. The pokemon flew over the burning tower, and spread it's golden wings. The feathers from its wings came down onto the fire, lowering it, until it completely disappeared. "Wow!" Sakura was stunned. The pokemon had the power to lower a fire without water! Ho-oh wasn't done yet, it raised its wings another time, and three beams of lights came out of the tower. Then, three glowing pokemon jumped out of the tower on opposite sides. One had thick red fur, and black binds around its feet. Another had yellow fur with stripes, and a cloud cape. The last was blue, and had ribons and a cape flowing behind it. Everyone stared at them, but the person beside her picked up a rock and threw it at them. "Why did you throw that?" Sakura asked. "They are dangerous, and unpredictable! They could kill us all!" He responded. "They look so kind...so sweet. They wouldn't hurt us!" She told him angerly. The three pokemon leaped away, seeing that people didn't want them around. As the blue pokemon with ribbons ran away, it looked directly into Sakura's eyes, then turned to disappear. Ho-oh was last to leave, blowing away the remaining rain clouds with its powerful wings. Everyone stared at the burned tower. Suddenly, some yells were heard coming from the bottom of the tower. People from the crowd got an axe and bashed open the walls, revealing a group of men covered in burns, scrapes, and dust. Even though it was a long distance away, Sakura could tell who the first person out of the building was. "Daddy!!" She yelled, and ran over to him. "Sakura! I thought I would never see you guys again! He said as her mom ran to him. "What happened, in the tower?" "We arn't to sure, but it may have been the lightning that hit us. You two alright, yes?" "I'm fine daddy! Something amazing happened too! A huge bird pokemon came, and three more came out of the tower!" Sakura excitedly told him. "Hmm...I'm no scientist, but it sounds as if the three eevee who lived in here were those three pokemon, brought back to life by Ho-oh. They can evolve into a lot of different types of pokemon, so it must be easy to change their looks, something in their body." "Huh? What's that mean?" She said, confused. "Ah, you will learn it when you get older. "What about the tower, are you going to rebuild it?" Asked her mom. "It's to late to do anything to fix it. I say that we leave it. Now let's go back to the house, shall we?"
As the family walked off, Sakura couldn't forget about the blue pokemon, later known as Suicune. Even if people said it was evil, she saw the good in it. "The pokemon was afraid! It didn't want to be hated or hurt!" She told her family, but they never listened. Sakura hoped Suicune would learn to trust people again.
