Seabird sits on the rocking waves
The sky is bright with amber blaze
The moon hanging ripe at the water's break
Casts silver ribbons in Seabird's wake

Seabird's wings stretch open wide
To pull her 'gainst the gentle tide
Riding on the swirling breeze
Seabird drifts across melanoid seas

As the sun sets on another day
Seabird floats further and further away
Water whorls like crystal shards
Jut toward the ivory stars

But Seabird rocks stalwart on and on
A million miles come and gone
A million miles yet ahead
A million feet above the seabed

Grey clouds above leak heavy drops
Lightning strikes far away mountain tops
Setting the ebony sky alight
While thunder booms in the endless night

Out and out in the glassy wash
Many a seabird has been lost
Swallowed by the churning drink
But you, Seabird, will never sink

Seabird hold yourself tall and straight
All there is to do is wait
Wait out the storm and, ever brave,
Carry yourself through the onyx waves

Strong are your wings spread 'cross the sky
And through the storm they let you fly
So Seabird on the ocean black
Now you're free, never look back
