Crystal recently moved to Toronto from the Caribbean after some encouragement from her boyfriend, Drake. Although they go weeks without seeing each other, they would both agree that their relationship is going well.

"Aubrey, would you relax?" I roll my eyes while I look outside my window. It was in the middle of the summer in Toronto and the scenery was a lush green. The weather is nice, filling me with hope for the future. Sure, it wasn't warm like Barbados, but it was comfortable all the same.

"Babe, I'm just making sure you're okay. You know I'm excited that you're in my country," Drake cajoles.
"Nigga, you ain't even here." He only laughs. "So, how's L. A?"
"Beautiful," he replies simply. "But something's missing." The uber driver turns through an exit. I look at the flyer in my hand and it replicates the building we are headed to. It's a skyscraper with roof top pools and wall to wall windows. It was a monotone gray color, making it look dull, yet neat.
"Mm, oh really? And what's that?" The uber pulls into the garage and helps me with my luggage. I take the receiver away from my mouth and say, "oh no, you don't have to do that!"
"I insist. Just remember to give me 5 stars, please!"
I would take what he did as an act of pure kindness if he hadn't been staring at my cleavage the entire time he spoke to me. This light pink cami body suit was pretty low for a square cut neckline. I made up for modesty with my sapphire faded FashionNova jeans. My pink Nikes made it easy for my to travel in and my hair was in a large messy bun on top of my head.
"I'm missing my caramel Bajan ting," Drake replied while I entered the new building.
"Mhm?"
The doorman spots me and immediately runs over to help with my two suitcases. The driver decided to leave me in his care.
"And where are you headed, mam," the doorman answers.
I smile at him and quickly tell Drake, "Yo, Babe, I need to get settled. I'll call you tonight when I sort everything out."
"Okay, baby girl."
I hang up and give the doorman my full attention. "Sorry about that. That was rude of me. Let me introduce myself. I'm Crystal Johnson. I paid for everything online so I could move into this building. I believe my room number is 304." The doorman runs over to his computer after listening to me and does some searching.
