Chapter 1

Addison

"Why the fuck did you have to kill them. I told the boss I could handle the job by myself. Now you just created a bigger problem you moron."

Now you must be wondering who I'm yelling at or better yet why the hell I killed a person right? Well lets just start from the beginning. My name is Addison Parker I'm 21 years old and I'm one of the best assassins in the world. I go to UC Berkeley and I spend most of my days hanging out with my best friends Cassie Carter and Jasper Hall.

This is how my day started.

"Addy! Wait up." I turn around to find Cassie walking up to me. "Hey Cas what's up." I looked at her and she had a look of desperation mixed with excitement dying to tell me something. "I just heard about this party that is going down at SohCahToa theta for the start of the new semester!" Lets just say that Cassie and I love partying.

As we were heading to the campus cafe Jasper joined us. When we entered the cafe Cassie started talking about the details of the party and what we should wear. As soon as we sat down at our table they brought us our usual order.

Cassie changed the subject and started talking about cheer leading. She is stressing about it even more now because she is the new captain. I zoned out of the conversation because cheer leading isn't really my thing. I'm more stressed out about an assignment I'm suppose to get today. The mafia wants me to kill one of their enemies spies again. I'm not nervous about the killing I never get nervous when I kill that's what makes me one of the best assassins in the world. I'm just nervous because the order is coming directly from the boss.

I tuned back into conversation when I heard Cassie say my name "Addy you should tryout for the cheer leading team next week." I looked at Cassie with a did-you-really-ask-me-that face and replied "hahaha you're very funny." I turned to Jasper for help to convince her that I shouldn't tryout but this idiot didn't even help me at all.

"Addison you should tryout for the team because Carter's team needs all the help they can get now that she's the captain." He said with a smirk and I just wanted to smack that pretty boy smirk off his face, but I didn't have to because Cassie kicked Jasper from under the table.

"OW! What the hell Carter. I'm just stating the truth besides the way the team looks they need Addison because I would never fuck any of them" just like that Jasper gets kicked by the both of us.

After we finished our lunch Cassie and I were getting ready to go to our dorm while Jasper had one more class. When Jasper left Cassie's eyes were lingering longer then it should have. I elbowed her side and Cassie squealed "Ouch! What was that for Addison." I smirked and replied "Cassie can't you be more obvious" Cassie shrugged "obvious about what?"

I rolled my eyes and can't believe I actually have to explain it to her " the way you stare at Jasper when he isn't looking. You know he isn't good for you Cassie he is a player." Cassie laughs "I know but have you ever seen him without his shirt." I rolled my eyes "whatever lets just go back to the dorms."

We entered our dorm freshened up and started getting ready. Cassie was wearing a black mini skirt with a white crop top and black high heels making her look even taller then her 5'8 frame.Cassie had on a light make up of eye linear, mascara, blush and bright red lipstick she wasn't wearing a lot of makeup because she is naturally beautiful.

I was wearing black high wasted shorts with a loose white crop top and a black leather jacket with black combat boots. Cassie and I are the same height but when we go out she usually looks taller then me. I put on smokey eyes that make my green eyes pop out, dark wing eye liner, mascara, a little bit of blush, and lip gloss.

I got a text from Jasper saying

I'm waiting in front of the dorm

I send jasper a quick text

Okay we'll be right down

I tell Cassie and we head out. Cassie immediately calls shotgun for the front seat of his beautiful black Porsche.

We arrived at the party. The party was in full swing. We went to the kitchen to get drinks after having a couple of shots we headed to the dance floor. I'm a letting drunk so I decide to pull Jasper close to me. Jasper gets a little handsy but I don't mind as I said I'm a little drunk.

When he starts grinding on top of me Cassie decides on that moment to interrupt us and she pulls me away to get some more drinks but she could have done it by herself. While we are in the kitchen Cassie keeps staring at me. I can't stand her stares so i just yell "WHAT!" Cassie puts her hands through her hair and sighs "Are you serious right now Addy!?"

I narrow my eyes at her and then realize "oh you're talking about Jasper" Cassie pinches the bridge of her nose "No shit Sherlock! You guys were basically on top of each other. It looked like you guys needed a room any second." I put my hands up "Relax Cas I don't do playboys we were just having fun. Besides you're so worried about me what about those girls" I say as I nod my head to the direction of the slutty girls grinding on Jasper. Those girls look so tiny besides Jasper with his 6'1 frame.

Cassie take a shot of tequila and marches over to Mr. playboy. I was about to follow Cassie before she does something she regrets but my phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID it showed up as a private number.

"Hello?" I said on the phone. On the other side of the phone a deep voice started speaking. I stood up straight and became completely sober.

"Addison Parker your job is to take out Jack Jones. I thought he was my friend but he betrayed me I don't want him to have an easy death I want him to suffer. I want you to do it tonight. Bring me a trophy." It was the mafia boss Vinny Silver you could just sense how much power he has by the way he spoke.

"Yes sir."

"Are you sure you can do this alone. He has high level security."

"Trust me sir I can do this. I am one of the best assassins in the world. If you had any doubts about me you wouldn't hire me to do this job in the first place or any job at all."

"Parker I trust you. You have done all my jobs so far but this one is special its not like the others where you just kill and leave. If you don't do this right if you don't torture him and bring me proof there will be consequences no matter how loyal you are to me."

"Yes sir."

"If you need any backup I will have a guy I trust that will be seconds away."

"Thank you sir but I assure you I don't need backup I'll get the job done."

"I don't care you will get have back up and that's final."

His voice got louder through the phone he was angry I shouldn't have disagreed with him.

"Yes sir." He hangs up.

I'm glad I snatched Jasper's car keys when we were dancing. I wasn't gonna let him drive us home while he was drunk over his ass. Plus now I don't have to explain why I have to leave the party early beside they are to busy to notice I'm gone and to drunk to realize that Jasper's car is gone.

I arrived at the Jack's house his house was isolated from all the others. Mr. Silver wasn't joking when he said Jack has high level security. There are guards at every square inch of his property. I swear there are even guards in every vehicle that's surrounding his house. Moments like these I wish I had superpowers instead of being an assassin.

I had to lie low for awhile. I knew one of these boys were going to fuck up and give me an opening. Just when I was about to lose my patience and shoot 3 guards few started leaving. I guess they are switching shift so I better move quick. I get out of the car and run into the house. As I enter the house I hear gun shots.
