A New Beginning

I opened the massive wooden doors to the school that I am attending to this year. I looked around. And it was exactly like how I pictured it; tall, decorated lockers lined up against the walls, students bustling around like crazy. I took out my phone and read the email that Principle Janelle sent me on Friday, it read:

Dear Mrs, Mr and Tiffany Moon,
Tiffany M. Is to arrive at Sunnyside Boarding School at the office by 8:30am. Her roommate Amanda will show her around the school and to her room.
I hope that Tiffany will get there safe and sound and make heaps of friends.

I walked into the office with my two oversized white suitcases, and as I opened the door, the lady behind the tall desk looked up from her half-shaped moon glasses and smiled at me. She said, "Welcome Tiffany to Sunnyside, have a seat, your roommate should be here any time now to collect you"
"Ok thanks Miss". And as if one cue, the door opened and in came a person the same age as me. I looked her up and down, taking in the sight of her beautiful long and straight blond hair that went to her waist, the navy dress that she wore that brought out the kindest blue eyes I've ever seen. She, also too looked at me with wide eyes, we both shook our heads to clear our mind. "You must be Tiffany Moon, my new roommate?"
"Uh yes, that's me"
"Well your the one that I'm looking for. Come on we've got plenty to do. First, I'll introduce you to some people down the hall, then we'll go to our room and get you comfortable. We'll just go from there"
I thanked the office lady and walked out the office and bumped right into Amanda. "What's the hold up Amanda, come on", she just stared at something, I looked at where she was staring, she was staring at some boy.
"Why are you staring at that boy over there"
"Tiffany, you might not know it yet, but he's the smartest, coolest and most handsome guy in the whole of thirty thousand students attending here. And he's staring right at us. Carry me to the nurse if I pass out. Ok?"
"Uh, yeah sure. But who are the people around him?"
"Well, see the person that he's holding hands with? That's his girlfriend, Chloe, that he's been dating since Grade seven. And the other two girls standing beside her is Samantha and Brianna, they all are the tops of cheerleading, Chloe being the highest, of course. And the two other boys are besties with Mr. Hottie since they were babies. Everyone in the school, and I mean literally everyone would do anything at all to be in their group!"
"Come on, lets go to our room, I'm getting bored just standing here watching you drool" and did a little giggle. She turned around and looked at me, she shook her head and asked, "I don't get it, how can you just not stare at him and observe how beautiful he looks"
"Umm, because I don't really think, oh I don't know, I just don't ogle on boys"
"Wow, you must be super good doing that. Ok lets go. Except there might just be one problem"
"What is it now?"
"They're kind of in the way of getting to the dorms because we're supposed to go through that door to get through"
"Not a problem, just go and ask them to move"
She looked at me as if I've grown two heads. And said "Don't you get it? No-one wants to mess with them"
"Oh well, I did do ten years of Karate and Taekwondo, we'll be fine, come on"
I grabbed her hand and dragged her along the dark brown laminated floor. As we walked up to the door, the people around us stopped what they were doing and stared at us. By the time we were half way up to the door, the whole hall was staring at us and I could hear my knee-high leather boots echo at each and every step that I took.
"Oh well, look at what we have here. Isn't this sweet hey Joshy? More of your fan girls wants your autograph" Said Chloe (Josh's girlfriend). "Actually, we would like you and the rest of your group out of our way please" The surprise on everyone's face was priceless, even on the 'Cool Ones'. "I don't know who you think you are little brat, but you do not speak to my people like that!" Now I'm going to do something that will leave her speechless. I looked deep into her brown, dolly eyes until her pupils shrank and demanded, "You will tell everyone that is in our way to move". And that is exactly what she did, everyone in the hall was even more surprised when she actually 'listened' to me. Once they were out of our way, I turned back to Amanda and her eye balls were bulging out of her eye sockets again and I may as well of picked her mouth from the ground and back to where it belongs. "Come on, lets go Amanda". She followed me meekly passed Chloe, who was still shocked from 'listening' to me.
When we were finally in our room, it was nine-thirty, which gave us about two hours and a half to get ready for lunch at the cafe. Amanda closed the door behind her and exclaimed "I can't believe you actually talked to the Cool Kids, I mean no-one talks to them like that. Wow!" I just shrugged my shoulders and said " It wasn't that big of a deal really, just asked them to move and they did".
I looked around at my side of the room. It was exactly how I ordered it. Pink duvet, blue throw, and splashes of purple, blue and pink blanket with some white pillows all made from silk. And they even put in the canopy fabric above the bead with tassels and mini pom poms. The floor was a soft, black and comfortable carpet. There was even a massive wardrobe for me to keep all my clothes and shoes that I brought.
"Wow. This place is even better than I thought" out of all the boarding schools that my parents made me attend to, this is by far the best. Amanda drew the curtain towards the wall which was separating and marking where our beds were. "I know right, your side of the room look much better than my side. Look at my bed, it's a mess compared to yours." I looked over at her bed and there was a midnight blue blanket and two pink pillows. "It looks fine if you ask me" I gave my shoulders a shrug to show that I didn't really care what her side of the bed looks like as long she doesn't interfere with me.
Just as I was finishing putting away my clothes in my new wardrobe. Amanda announced that it was time to go to the cafe and grab something to eat.
I opened the door leading into the cafe and saw the Chloe and them sittting at a large table. This is going to be fun, I thought.
