Ingredients:
·175g plain flour
·25g icing suger
·110gunsalted butter cut into small squares
·caster suger for sprinkling

method

· preheat the oven to 180'c/gas mark 4.Now sift the flour and icing sugar into a large bowl and add the butter.

·Mix on the ingredients with your hands,kneading them together until the mixture forms a smooth ball

· Lightly dust the chopping board with some flour and then roll the mixture out flat until it is 1cm thick all over. Using your shaped cutters, cut out the shortbread hearts and place them in a baking tray.Don't forget to neaten the edges!

· put the hearts in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.Sprinkle with caster sugar and then put them out to cool on the wire rack. Then give them to a friend in a pretty box or eat them yourself with ice cream.
