As we all know, in classic mythology , Cupid (Latin Cupīdō, meaning "desire") is the god of desire, attraction, and affection. His iconography acquired the that represent his source of power: a person, or even a deity, who is shot by Cupid's arrow is filled with uncontrollable desire.
In myths, Cupid is a minor character who serves mostly to set the plot in motion. He is the main character only in the tale of, when wounded by his own weapons, he experiences the ordeal of love.
Although other extended stories are not told about him, his tradition is rich in poetic themes and visual scenarios, such as "Love conquers all" and the retaliatory punishment or torture of Cupid.

CUPID, COFFEE, MY COUCH BOOK CLUB
Cupid, Coffee, my Couch Book Club aims to gather Romance Writers here on Wattpad to share their creative works of fiction with each other. Get to know your fellow writers who share your same genre. Be the audience for another work. Be a supporter of your fellow amateur writers. Be each other's mentor.
I hope to gather a total of 12 members.
Members register their Romance Book to be shared and be read by his/her fellow romance writer members. Since ang club na ito ay hinango kay Cupid, the Roman god of Love, ang books na makikita sa club nito ay Romance at Love Stories lahat. This club is full of love! Kahit hindi Valentines day, love will be always in the air!
Why 12 members only?
(As of now, I only have 10 registered book.)
The main reason for this is for the writer members to have their stories be read continually. Fewer members mean greater chances that you'll be assigned to the same person again, thus, they continue reading your book. It's an opportunity as well to give follow-up comments and advises on your story.
In this book club, you get the following benefits:
-Votes
-Comments
-Story Reactions
-Advises
-Book of the Week
-Book of the Month
What makes it different from the other book clubs you used to join?
No pairing.
No grouping.
But there is homework!
Yes, a HOMEWORK!
How do Weekly Homework works?
Every week, you will be assigned a book to read that's registered by one of the member-writers. You will read the first three chapters of his/her book. The usual thing goes on. You vote, comment, and give advice. Further explanation will be discussed in the Rules and Regulations.
Hindi siya lumalabas na read-for-read, vote-for-vote, comment-for-comment, or exchange of votes and comments.
Will there be a Book of the Week?
Yes there is! Ang importante rito ay matapos mo ang homework by the end of the week.
So the question is, how can your book become the Book of the Week?
By simply getting your book registered. Yes! As long as your book is registered in Cupid, Coffee, my Couch Book Club, it's guaranteed that your work of fiction will experience to become the Book of the Week!
So what's the benefit of becoming the Book of the Week?
Along with the Homework, all member-writers will read, vote and comment on two chapters of your book.
Each Book of the Week is an automatic candidate to compete for the Book of the Month!
Highest Rated Book
The Highest Rated Book is awarded to be book who got the highest score from its assigned reader. The book with the highest rating will get the following prizes:
a. He/she can choose which book to read for that week's homework.
and
b. He/she can choose the specific member-writer who will read his/her book.
Sounds new! What is Book of the Month?
At the end of the month, member-writers will choose among the four Books of the Week by means of anonymous voting. For your book to be chosen as the Book of the Month, kailangang makakuha ang iyong book ng pinaka-mataas na vote from your co-member-writers.
What's going to be the prize?
Aside from the weekly homework, all member-writers will read two chapters of your book each week. So for the duration of the whole month, member-writers should be able to finish eight chapters of your book!
You book can only win the Book of the Month once!

So lumalabas na every week, each member-writers gets to read a total of seven chapters only (three chapters from the book assigned to you, two chapters from the Book of the Week winner, and two chapters from the Book of the month winner.) Hind na masama 'di ba? Hindi tediuous, hindi gahol. Just right for students, working students and working professionals.
