Paving my road
With trite intentions
A weary trek
Of my own inventions
Riding the highway
Only one direction
Rearview mirror
Holds no reflection
The ride's been rough
The ride's been long
Yet moving forward
Makes me strong
Maybe a rest stop
Would be quite nice
But then again
Think I'll roll the dice
So it's another day
And another dollar
I'll keep an rolling
Across the hill and holler
