what a waste

So today, my school had "slave day" (I know, wtf) where the teachers sell grade 12 students as slaves in an auction. Grade 7 (or something) bids their own money to earn a slave. In the beginning, slaves where sold for $20-$25. I thought it was a reasonable price because the "slaves" had to do whatever their owner tells them to do (except killing, stealing, violence, buying food, stripping off their own clothes, stepping foot offsite).

But guess what? Near the end of the whole "auction", people were so desperate to get their own "slaves", students began to buy the grade 12 students for $200-$220. I honestly felt bad for their parents. Imagine your kid wasting your hard-earned cash on some "slave" for less than a day.
