Everyone tells me I shouldn't work so late. Everyone tells me I shouldn't walk to my car alone, but I never listen.
It's October, the air cold, but not cold enough for a heavy winter jacket. It's around 11pm, a few street lights are lighting up bits & pieces of my walk to the my car.
I've never been afraid or felt like someone was watching me, following me, but tonight was different. Maybe it was different because it was close to Halloween. I brushed the feeling off.
I got close to my car, the wind blew through my shirt, pastel pink hair, I shivered slightly. I heard footsteps behind me as someone grabbed ahold of my purse. Grabbing the closet thing to me, my book bag, I turned around and started flinging it at my attacker. It took a few hits, 3 or 4 to be exact, but finally he fell to the ground.
I quickly picked my stuff up, unlocking my car and getting in. I threw my stuff into the passenger seat, starting the car and driving off.
My phone lit up with a notification, a short ding can be heard, the notification simply read
"Leveled up, would you like to evolve?"
